A varied menu, with some good experimentation. Coupled with an outdoor experience, with the gardens and the ocean views, it's well worth it. Being a local, I even just go here with friends for a burger or oysters -- always good, and always treated as if we were spending big bucks. The staff is wonderful, service is great.

Sea Glass Restaurant at The Inn By The Sea should be the best restaurant in Cape Elizabeth Maine. Unfortunately, I think it is the worst. There is an expectation of quality and service implied that is not delivered; given the prices Sea Glass charges this is beyond being excusable. The staff, while being polite and friendly are woefully inattentive and... More

We have eaten at Sea Glass for the past 8 years and it has consistently gone downhill and fast! We ate here last night and it took 2 hours for our food to arrive, no joke. The service was just horrendous and the restaurant was nowhere near full. We had our kids with us and they were very unhappy with... More

Portland is a foodie town; so mediocrity at a premium doesn't do it. We have eaten there several times over the past year, and despite the lovely setting, the meals are less than consistent. Appetizers and desserts far outshine almost anything you order as an entree. I understand that they have had much chef turnover, and it shows.

Beautifully prepared food but of uneven quality. Lousy bread (rolls seemed identical to those served on Delta business class!). Food was cooked in advance--arrived minutes after ordering. Table service is uneven. Plates cleared too quickly, dessert served while bread and butter still on the table.

Every meal I've had from here is tasty. We like to order from the fireplace lounge we can dine with our dogs. Both the breakfasts and dinners I've had here were consistently good. I can't recall better blueberry pancakes from anywhere else.

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic evening out together with spectacular food, gorgeous views and a very attentive and helpful wait staff. Our table at the window was perfect looking out over the beautifully decorated gardens to the ocean beyond. Each of the staff from the dining room manager to each of the wait staff welcomed us with anniversary... More

We stayed Memorial Day weekend and have eaten both dinner and breakfast. Dinner started off great with lobster dumplings but then the bread was cold and hard. There was a significant wait for salad course approx 20 mins. Waitress did apologize for the wait. Chop salad and chowder soup were great. I had the lobster bake which was over cooked... More

Exceptional dining and service. This small intimate dining room off the lobby offers polished service and excellent food. We had the lobster and shrimp dumplings and lamb meatballs in the lounge, and then moved to the main dining room for entrees. My pork shank was a huge and tasty portion, and my husband loved his salmon. Gorgeous plating for each... More

Great service and wonderful food. Something for everyone. Beverages are awesome too. Smore's martini''s are one of the many reasons we keep coming back.
