My wife and I stopped here for an anniversary dinner while in Camden. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. The service and atmosphere was excellent; the food was outstanding. Wished we lived closer, as this would need to be on our regular outing list.

40paper is a very nice restaurant. Food and cocktails are excellent. And as we think a very warm atmosphere. We were there 3 times in a week, 2 times for dinner and once for cocktails. Every course was very good, tasty, and inventive. Cocktails were very good and harmonic. Nothing to complain. If you are in Camden go there.

This is a small restaurant with a vibrant active bar scene, where people enjoy the delicious small plates offered. There is also some nice outdoor seating. We ate inside where it was a bit dark & very noisy. However, we were quickly delighted by the delicious food. The menu is innovative and the food is excellently prepared and fresh. All... More

Slightly out-of-the-way place with wonderful food. We had arancini as a starter They were great! my husband had the quail which he thought was fabulous. I had clams and homemade pasta. Delicious! They must have a good happy hour because the place was packed when we arrived around six.

Went here with friends while visiting Camden and had an enjoyable meal. We ordered several small plate appetizers to share and topped it off with a few flatbread pizzas. The food was great and the service great as well. The drinks were served promptly and the wine glasses were mostly full. This is a nice restaurant with friendly wait staff... More

Needed a break from lobster, lobster, lobster, and this was recommended as an Italian alternative by a friend. It's definitely off the beaten track, and when we arrived at about 7:30 the restaurant was only about 1/2 full. So, we were a little surprised when the hostess told us there were no tables available for the rest of the evening,... More

40 Paper was recommended by a local as one of the better places to dine while in Camden. Located off the beaten track and in a building that doesn't scream a welcoming dining experience, 40 Paper does offer a large outdoor patio. The menu is Italian-centric and boasts of numerous dishes with local ingredients. The atmosphere is night clubbish, and... More

My friend and I dropped by 40 Paper a little before 7:30 Saturday night. It is close to our neighborhood and we were looking for dinner and drinks. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived. We sat in the bar, and shortly a very pleasant wait person came by with menus. We wanted to order dinner but we're told... More

I have eaten at 40 Paper twice now and I am impressed with the great staff and wonderful food. Looking forward to going back with my bike tour group at the end of September. Excellent appetizers, drinks, entrées and desserts. This is a great restaurant!

Missed happy hour and decided to stay for a light dinner and drinks. My wife got the beer flight and did not enjoy it.More for me!! I had the Alagash White which was really good.We both ordered pasta dishes and meatballs which were absolutely delicious. The service here is quirky though and I don't understand why.

Description
Located in the century-old Knox Mill, our bistro is situated on top of the Megunticook River, just between the two waterfalls. At Brevetto, our modern Italian bistro cuisine is designed to pair perfectly with our extensive– and almost exclusively Italian– wine list. Brevetto is Italian for “patent,” and throughout the restaurant you will find turn-of-the-century schematics of wine presses and odd, out-dated food machines. In stark contrast to the complicated workings of a “salami washing machine,” our menu is simple and straightforward. We feature a large menu with a range of grilled pizzas, Italian pastas, and a variety of entrées. In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full bar with artisan draft beers and liquors. Enjoy your dinner in our inviting dining room, or on our waterfront deck. Relax with an obscure Italian red wine at our bar, or an extra-dry gin martini on the leather sofa. Brevetto has some of the best of both worlds, right in downtown Camden.
