Lovely spot but doesn't really deliver value for the price. Had to ask for basics like sheets and pillows for the bed. Hot water for tea was tepid. They really need to up their game to justify their prices. There are better options in this town if you look.

We've been coming to Maine for 15 years and never got around to eating here. Wow! This is a fantastic place. You absolutely must have reservations, as this is a small small elegant inn with just a few tables. The service is almost fawning - they actually folded my napkin when I got up from my table. The room we... More

Of the places we ate and experienced in 48 hours in Camden Hartstone Inn was the best! The whole feel was a special event and we treated it as such. I hope to return there. Their cocktails were inventive and delish! I wish we would have gone earlier for the happy hour experience. A friend did the pre fixe and... More

Wow, what a deal. Luxury at an affordable value. In the heart of Camden, walking distance to everything. Great location and service. Get in line for this B&B! Outstanding food also!

The chef is very experienced and highly regarded. Has a published cookbook. The Chef's Tasting Menu is excellent and very reasonable. Of course, the chef serves an amuse bouche between courses as you would expect for fine dining.

Hartstone was recommended to us by our innkeeper for a special occasion dinner, and it did not disappoint. Granted, I did have to go searching for a hostess after Mrs. and I had been waiting in the lobby for several minutes. I'm happy to report everything got better from there. We bypassed the chef's menu and went for a la... More

This is a romantic , but not too formal dining - service is at a high level. Wife's meal was very good, but my choice of the hanger steak was a miss. The sides served with the meals constitute some unusual fare. With any prompting or discussing, my meal was comped. Will return again, but would call ahead to see... More

This is a lovely restaurant that is not too fancy but serves excellent food. Wonderful attentive wait staff. The food was exceptional in taste and presentation. We had the September tasting menu and the steak, oysters, and pear salad. We also splurged with the and warm chocolate chip cookie. The bread served was warm and outstanding as was the fish. The... My love and I made reservations for dinner on our last night in Camden. We both enjoyed the salmon, with was perfectly cooked and the desserts were amazing. Above all the staff was friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend eating here.
