We had to wait a bit to be seated for our reservation, but we had a very comfortable parlor to wait in and it gave us time to review the wine list and menu. Very small menu (four each, starters, mains & desserts) but not a problem to get a gluten-free meal for my celiac husband. Good wines with very... More

Made a reservation to celebrate 2 birthdays while traveling in Maine on vacation. The food was nice, but that should be expected for the price. The night was going well, until two tables of diners started to carry on a rather loud conversation which was made worse by the acoustics in the room. After making 2 attempts to have management... My husband and I had a lovely dinner here last night. Well prepared, although not necessarily inspired meal. I had the lobster and scallop sauté. My husband had the tenderloin. We both had the oyster appetizer but felt that the toppings overpowered the taste of the oysters. Get the dessert soufflé. It was yummy.

The oyster starter is world class. Apart from this everything was to a high and flavoursome standard. Service was excellent and friendly. And for the quality of food and service it was not expensive.

My family frequents the restaurant for their great food, and fun service. The wine list is just how it should be, and the staff is very knowledgeable about what they have. This is fine dining, not Maine fine dining, and thats perfect for us. We always enjoy their Amuse-bouche and the pre-fixe is generally a wonderful go-to, if the menu... More

The owners are hard working, gracious hosts. We stayed at Hideaway portion of the inn which is a short distance from the Main inn. The accommodations were first rate. We ate breakfast each morning. There were several selections. They offered sit down service. The food was exceptional All of the staff were well versed in giving the customer excellent service.... More

Sometimes you want the hustle and bustle of a edgy restaurant in Boston or NYC, and sometimes there's nothing better to end the day than a causal, care free dinner at a great little restaurant, tucked into a B&B in a place like Camden, Maine. That's what we experienced at the Hartstone Inn last night. The lobster ravioli I had... More

The chef and owner did not prepare our meal, however it was very good, my halibut was slightly overdone, but did not send it back, although another guest did. Very nice meal though, wish they had a good French Bordeaux or French Pinot Noir !

We stayed at the Hartstone Inn and decided one night we'd try the restaurant. Very glad we did so as the meal was extremely good! We were a little thrown off when making the hotel reservation as we inquired about if we needed to make dinner plans in advance and were told it was advisable as the space was "intimate".... More

Eating here for dinner and breakfast while staying at the inn is a gastronomic delight. The food is world class. Great service. Always a delight. Deserves to be number one on TA.
