The atmosphere of the Cafe is wonderful, nestled on the falls of the Androscoggin River right off the main drag going into Brunswick. I had the Arancini, Scallops & Risotto and a Brownie Sundae Dessert - all amazing! My waitress, Sam, was fantastic as well. Great with suggesting menu items, provided the right amount of attention and was very polite!... More

The place is located in and old mill with views of the river on 1 side. It is a large place with a good size bar and plenty of seating. There are plenty of craft beer and wine options. The menu is diverse with different types of food available from seafood, Italian, Mediterranean, and Mexican. Our food was okay for... More

I live in Brunswick, and go to the Frontier Cafe fairly often. Most frequently, it's the movies they show, and the good food that brings me there. They have movies there almost daily, and they are the unusual and unique movies I enjoy. For example, they showed the movie about the actual, real life horse whisperer (about whom the book... More

Tucked into the back of an industrial building is this gem that has many things to boast about - incredible beer menu; very friendly service; locally-sourced ingredients; superb atmosphere; and not pricey. Look forward to returning....

This is a fun casual bar/pub with an attached theater that does funkier movies and simulcasts of opera, etc. The food is modern fusion and well made with good portions, except for my $25 lobster roll which was fresh and tasty, but half the size of ones I can get in Maine and was listed in their special for the... This old mill houses a variety of shops and activities. The Frontier Cafe complements that with a variety of dishes and cuisines. A meal by the large windows is charming. The menu offers options for all eaters. The food is good and at times excellent and the service warm and friendly.

The Frontier is in the back of an old mill building - you have to walk a bit and follow the signs to find the place, but it was certainly worth it. The menu features a lot of foods that are gluten free and have interesting preparations. The ambience was not too formal, considering the quality of the food. The... More

Arrived late to Freeport....needed to eat some light fare...recommended by our Air B&B hosts...shared the sliders--add pepper jack cheese--tasty!!! Also shared the Middle Eastern plate--the falafel were probably frozen but the rest was fresh. A gin and tonic and a glass of wine were typical. Smooth vegan chocolate mouse was surprisingly delicious. Our server, Jennifer provided very good service and... More

You can do much much better in Brunswick. On a Friday, with the restaurant less than half full, it took 90 minutes to bring us our dinner. We waited 20 for the server to take our order, and the never saw her again for refills. The food was average - no better than a TGI Fridays. Would not return here.
