The gelato is fantastic and the service is too. They have so many flavors, it looks a little overwhelming when you first step inside. But they encourage you to taste-test as much as you want. My family of four each sampled 4-5 flavors and the woman behind the counter was friendly and enthusiastic the whole time. When you're ready to buy, you can have as many flavors as can fit into the cup/cone that you choose. My favorite was the Mascarpone Pistachio and the Netflix and Chill; my family members also enjoyed the Triple Oreo, the blueberry sorbetto, and the Maine Blueberry Crisp. We ate a LOT of ice cream from homemade ice cream stands on our vacation throughout Maine and New Hampshire and this was our favorite place for dessert. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Some other reviewers have argued that they don't serve "authentic" gelato. That's really not the point, though. Whatever they serve is very tasty, and they have an excellent combination of delicious flavors. They're generous with the free samples, too. After trying both blood orange and pistachio, I ended up having a treat with real Maine blueberries. While I'm not likely to get back to Brunswick soon, if I do, I'll certainly stop back here.

We liked it so much, we did it 2 days in a row. We've had gelato around the US, in London, even in Rome. None of them seemed as rich and creamy as this place. Who would have thought that some place in the middle of a midsize city in Maine would have such good gelato? The Toasted coconut is so good. The first time I paired it with Dark Chocolate Noir and the second time with Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt. So, so good!

So many delicious options. They moved the line very efficiently but still allowed you to test multiple flavors if you chose. I was able to combine two different flavors in a small bowl and they were both yummy. Son and I sat outside and enjoyed the people watching as much as the ice cream. Highly recommend.

There is a wide array of flavors available, which may seem overwhelming! But Gelato Fiasco offers unlimited “tastings” before you decide what you’d like. They pack it in, too! A medium was too big after our generous pasta dinner at a restaurant down the street. They emphasize authenticity and true Italian quality, and I would have to say (as an Italophile) that they have succeeded! Kind and patient staff, too.

I wish there was a Gelato Fiasco closer to me, but then again, it would be dangerous. The flavors are inventive and the staff is passionate about the product.
The best thing about gelato is that you are encouraged to try all the flavors before you order. The hard thing is that by testing all the flavors, it is hard to decide on just a few. We went twice during our three days in the area. The first day, we split a large cup with eight flavors, each incredible. But toward the end, the flavors mingled too much. The second time, we tried to settle on four, but I had to add a fifth, but it was better in the end.
The first day we tried dark chocolate sea salt, lemon cream cookie, Maine wild blueberry crisp, maple sap tap (with maple candied walnuts), marscapone fig, strawberry balsamic, caramel seat salt and toasted marshmallow s'more.
The second day, we had brownie batter, double caramel cookies and cream and marscapone pistachio caramel, but I had to add the marscapone fig and strawberry balsamic, which I loved the first day.
This is truly a must stop every visit.

I had their chocolate gelato, my friend had the pistachio. Both had fancy names that I don't remember. I've had gelato in Florence (Italy), and Gelato Fiasco's is almost as great, which is saying something. There's also a Gelato Fiasco in Portland's Old Port.

So many flavors, so many choices, so good. The house chocolate was awesome. After dining out on Maine (tobacco- free Maine Street), stop in here for your final course. You won’t regret it.

This store has the best gelato I have ever had. The taste was fantastic and the choice was mind boggling. The server was knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. I’m glad I don’t live close enough to go often. Otherwise the news headlines would report my cause of death as gelato overdose !

This was the best gelato/ice cream that I have ever had. There is a massive selection of delicious flavors. You can try any number of flavors you want, and put as many flavors as you want into any size you want! The staff were very nice and helpful. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely come back here.

The flavors and the texture of the gelato are wonderful, & the staff are super friendly & helpful, with tasting allowed. The dark chocolate salted caramel is smazibg, as is the espresso. The only recommendation I would have is to add a banana flavor to the lineup! Love this place!

Gelato Fiasco is one of our favorite gelato shops outside of Italy. For our three nights in the area, we stopped twice.
We tried the strawberry balsamic sorbetto, raspberry truffle sorbetto, sweet resurgum, torched marshmallow s'more, dark chocolate sea salt caramel, double caramel sea salt cookie dough, brownie batter, Maine blueberry crumble, and marscapone pistacchio caramel, all gelatos. Each was delicious, in a different way.
And since you can try as much as you like, you can make sure you will like it before ordering.

We stopped here after dinner as it was right next door. They had a variety of flavor options and helpful staff. I went with traditional chocolate and my boyfriend choose “Netflix & Chill.” Both were delicious!
