If you're looking for good Maine shellfish, look no further than the Gurnet Trading Company. Easily accessed off Rt. 24 in Harpswell, this eatery offers good chowders, great fried seafood and one terrific lobster roll! You can also purchase good fresh fish/shellfish/lobsters here and take them home to cook as you want. For me, one of their lobster rolls, a... More

We were interested in sampling some fresh seafood but didn't know much about it. We visited Gurnet because of its great reviews and were thrilled with what we got. The place itself is right off the highway so quite convenient to grab some food on the way back to our vacation rental. The employee at the counter was friendly and... More

So...if you want to pick up steamers, lobster or a nice fried haddock sandwich this is a great place. It is small for eat in but has a large outdoor seating area. It is family run and resonably priced. Good chowders too. Is it perfect no. Could it be better, yes. Larger portions, chips and pickles included with sandwiches, better... More

Okay, so to be fair the lobster was fresh on my wee lobster roll which I paid 16.00 or 17.00 for, no chips, no pickle, no bueno! The fish stew was about 7.00 for a small with small bits of seafood. No crackers or biscuits served. Very thin but sherry flavored. Save your money and the drive and go else... More

Been going here since 2008 ever since we started using a local boatyard. A true "family" operation. Great people, best lobster roll anywhere! Fantastic capabilities to ship live or milk-frozen lobster. Our friends still wonder how we get fresh lobster in Park City, Utah.

Very fresh seafood ...lobsters out of the tank, great crab, soups (frozen and fresh soups) mainly a to go place, they have a few tables inside and outside with a Porta pottie as the only facility. Call your order in and take it home. Great seafood.

World class lobster rolls, and excellent chowders, especially the haddock and lobster. Unique location and well-polished wooden interior add to the friendly feel. Gets pretty packed at times, but there are a few tables inside and more outside. It may be may personal taster, but occasionally not the greatest for fried stuff. Cool seating area that overlooks the water, nice... More

Looking for authentic Maine experience? Check out Gurnet Trading. This adorable little establishment sits at the edge of Route 24 that leads from Brunswick into Harpswell. Though there is a few small tables inside and some lovely outdoor seating overlooking an inlet outside, this tiny little restaurant serves mostly take out. We usually get our food to go. It's a...
