No issues with food or service, but musicians who are considering playing at The Odd Duck might want to insist on being paid up front. I booked ten nights with Becky back in February, but I’ve played just four, and have been paid for only...one. She agreed over the phone to send me a check for the other three nights, but that was back in March. Yes, these are trying times, but I’ve waited long enough to get paid for my services.More

My husband and I have enjoyed every visit we have made to the restaurant. Each time we have tired different signature menu and haven't been disappointed yet. For Valentine's day we had their higher items and were blown away by the vegetarian option, a cauliflower...steak. The steak was flavorful, which is often rare. The pork chos were cooked perfectly and the dessert was a beautiful end to the meal. If you haven't stopped in, you must.More

We had to leave early because, despite notifying the server of one of our group's nut allergy, the dish she was served had cashews in it. (They were not mentioned on the menu.) They did give us a full refund, after I requested it. Otherwise,...we all agreed the food was "okay." Nothing was particularly good. Though some of it we ate cold, as we had to rush home to get an epi-pen.More

The service was particularly slow on a third visit to this newish restaurant. The food is clumsy although it is clear attempts have been made to present well. Ingredients are relatively fresh. The atmosphere is awkward. THe bar should be where the restaurant is but...the wait staff runs up and down stairs past the bar and cannot keep an efficient eye on their clients. It is not a welcoming spot and the banquettes appear to have been procured from a much different restaurant giving a hodge podge feel to what is touted to be a fine dining experience.More

Driving by it on our way to a movie matinee, and always on the lookout for a new restaurant, we gave it a try. It was a slow night, but without asking us we were seated next in line in the row of tables in...the long, narrow and sparse front dining room. We observed later that there's a much larger and more interesting room on the next level in the rear, which we would request if we return. The menu is original, and extensive for a small new restaurant. But we took a while to find much appealing. My wife ended up with the French onion soup and the Katsu spicy duck steamed roll, a novelty to both of us. She said the soup had a slightly unusual taste she couldn't identify but wished it didn't. She enjoyed the steamed roll. For a change, I got the best of our menu experimentation. My drunken half duck was superb. Crusty skin, delicious flavors and a generous serving of tender, thickly sliced, boneless breast and an un-boned leg. I've never had better. I'll go back just for that. They bake their own bread and we were given four varieties, all excellent. Service was slow, home-style and non-professional. Wine list short and unexceptional. Many beef choices, one fish. My chicken and the bread earned the four stars. Otherwise a three. But give it a try.More

We went just for dessert and coffee and discovered a new gem! The ambience is relaxing and the bar stools looked really comfortable. It’s larger than you would think so you are not elbow to elbow with everyone. The service was great and watching the...bartender a delight! He is actually a bartender, knows how to make cocktails and is super fun to watch concoct lovely looking creations! The dinner menu looked wonderful! It has meat! Yes, I am still a carnivore! Will be back soon for dinner!!More

Went at the recommendation of a friend and it was awesome. The Katsu Duck Steamed Buns were excellent. I had the Autumn Salad and he had the Odd Beef Burger which were great as well. We will definitely be back.

We ate at The Odd Duck FSE last night. Our original goal was a visit to another local restaurant but without reservations we were out of luck; or were we? We strolled over to the Odd Duck, again no reservations and lucky for us we...were able to be seated! What a delight. Every aspect of our meal was perfect. We enjoyed efficient but unhurried service from our engaged waitress, comfortable vibrant surroundings, where you can hear yourself think and actually engage in conversation.... and the food! We had the steamed buns - could be a delicious light meal with a salad Odd Duck burger - dreams are made of this dish. Perfectly seasoned Grilled cauliflower with chimmichurri - who needs meat, completely satisfying dish. The bread selection was gorgeous. We left no room for dessert but have a game plan for our next visit.More
