Lunch was an order of fish and onion rings 13.50 and a small clam basket 19.00, the fish was fresh, fried just perfect, as were the clams. I agree with people that say Bagaduce lunch has the best clams. Onions rings are freshly prepared, not the frozen type, coleslaw was homemade also, very creamy, taste like there is heavy cream... Good take out place in a really pretty setting on the Bagaduce. Good variety of choices, really good crab rolls.

Read many highly favorable reviews of this place especially for the lobster rolls. However, I was disappointed. The lobster was swimming in mayo. In my opinion there should be only enough mayo to barely coat the lobster. I won't be back

A good lobster roll and onion rings. We sat on a picnic table in the shade overlooking the water which was really nice. Food was good but not great and a little disappointing for the cost. Bagaduce Lunch is listed as one of the top lobster shacks in Maine and a Beard award winner in 2008. Was it worth the... More

I had two sets of cousins who grew up in Castine; and I was told that I absolutely had to go here. From Camden it's an hour's drive and make sure you have a good GPS! My cousins' always used their boat to get here. They are celebrating their 70th year in 2016 and it is obvious why. It's a... More

Fish was not fresh and heavily fried. Not a great local experience. Reviews are misleading. I do not understand people waiting on line for this food.

Just paid way too much for mediocre fried food and the service was terrible. They wanted to charge me extra for ketchup? Seriously?? The food definitely doesn't overcome the high price and the terrible service. We won't be back.

From the shack exterior, this place doesn't look like much. But the seafood is great and the water view is nice. We had a chuckle about the fact that its a James Beard Winning restaurant, but it seems to check out!! They have several patio tables with umbrellas which is great. I got the friend clam basket with fries and... More

Ok, most items are fried, but I had the lobster salad which had a good amount of very fresh and local veggies. The lobster was very good.

Since I last visited Bagaduce I went back to Red's in Wiscasset, frequently cited as one of the best lobster rolls in Maine, and Eventide Oyster Co. in Portland. Red's was just a horrible traffic jam and a long wait for an overrated lobster roll. Eventide was incredible, but definitely not an authentic lobster roll. They have a much more... More
