This is a lovely restaurant that could be anywhere in America. Instead, it's in this quaint town in the Maine Lakes Region. Dependable and reliable food in an attractive atmosphere with an excellent bar program, large portions, and personable servers.

The menu here is wonderful. There is something for everyone, including vegans and vegetarians. This time around I had roast beef, a rare treat for me. It was among the best I've ever had. Our waitress was a bit snitty with us, but we did not let it ruin our dinner. We just laughed.

We visited Black Horse Tavern after a long hot day and it was exactly what we needed. A warm atmosphere, a very friendly staff, and solidly good food with a nice drink menu. We ordered the prime rib and it was delicious, as was the Caesar salad. We will come back! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 And, dessert looks good!!!

We stopped here for lunch with our son and wife and granddaughter. Oyster crackers were offered the little one, and our wait was not long. My son and I split the clam chowder. Wonderful. So were the sweet potato fries with the mayo sauce. It was my granddaughter's first experience with sweet potato and she fell in love. I had... More

The Black Horse is one of the best restaurants in Bridgton for fine dining. Great selection for lunch and dinner or to stop by the bar for happy hour!

We love the Black Horse Tavern. We go there for dinner every Friday evening. Emma, Katreena, and Mike are awesome. Food and service are great. We wouldn't go there if it wasn't. Love the filet.

Best steak tips my husband has ever eaten, hands down. Dinner rolls to die for...just the best. And to make the meals complete, Nicole was one heck of a server. She knew just when to check with us and seemed to anticipate our needs. First time eating here....will NOT be the last!
