My wife and I ordered a seafood platter($32) to split and it was far more food than the 2 of us could eat. it had haddock, scallops, shrimp, clams, fries and hush puppies. It only comes fried. If you like fried seafood in bulk,it was great! The place is on the river and is small and full of locals. It... More

Right on route 9, this little restaurant is always a favorite stop. It is often packed. It is a local favorite with lots of character. If you are looking for elegant, fancy or modern, this probably isn't the place for you. If you want friendly, local happy people in a quirky little building with great views and friendly staff, you... More

Stopped in after leaving the airport on the recommendation of a friend. Lobster chowder and lobster roll were perfection, ....but warning the lobster chowder has enough meat for an entire meal! I took the roll to go :)

We stopped for lunch after reading reviews about their lobster rolls. Very good, just a hint of mayo, piled high with tail and claw meat. They have 'all you can eat' haddock fish fry every Thursday and Friday. Someone ordered a fisherman's platter at another table - huge portions! Homemade desserts look wonderful. If you are looking for a no... More

This little restaurant overlooks the Penobscot River. See if you can get a window table. It has wonderfully fresh Maine seafood of all kinds and preps. We had the lobster roll plate and the lobster salad plate. Both were delicious and had the equivalent of 2 small lobsters in each dish. These were the best we've ever had! ...just enough... More

The portions are big and the food is so fresh and delicious! We got good to go and there was no wait, but the summer lines to get in are something else... Still well worth the wait!

Staff at our hotel in Bangor suggested Eagles Nest for a seafood dinner. It was a great selection. It is a small restaurant right on the Penobscot River. Our table actually looked over the cliff and down to the water! Some might find it unsettling, but we loved the view. The food was wonderful. I had the lobster roll which... More

Here is an interesting locals place for sure, but the secrete will get out. Awesome lobster rolls, excellent clams and great haddock fish fry. This is a fish fry place that does it right. Large portions, super fried food and a great lobster roll. All made fresh to order. Great spot and it's true, you get what you pay for,... More

Heard of this restaurant through trip advisor and was eager to try it . Saw that the closing time was 8:00. Got there at 7:30 and the door was locked while people were still inside eating. Too bad we will never know how good it was.

Ordered Haddock Plate, with fries, coleslaw, and strawberry shortcake for desert. Eagles nest is a very small, extremely rundown (needs update/new furniture) restaurant. I got seated right away, but waited almost 15 minutes before the waiter came over...by then I was ready to order so ordered....my meal came before my drink, and I had to remind the waiter what I...
