My wife and I ate here the night of July 13th. We both love real Italian food, having been spoiled by a trip to Rome. Ports of Italy serves real Italian food, not the stuff of chain restaurants. A lot of the wait staff, including our server, is Italian, and are knowledgable about the offerings. We quickly surmised that Ports... More

Our reservations were for six at seven and the corner table on the patio treated us with just a hint of breeze. We enjoyed delicious dishes from the bruschetta with sushi grade tuna, through fresh seafood and pasta, and ending with tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and 'cafe correcto'. Excellent service enhanced put dining.

It is often difficult to get into this place, and you are likely to get a table in the corner. The service is certainly OK but not really at the standard of a fine dining restaurant. That is because the place is too crowded -- at least on friday and saturday nights. The food is very good and may be... More

We went there on a Saturday night in July without a reservation and the manager was wonderful about getting us a table. We appreciate that but we also feel that restaurants can grow from honest feedback. The place was packed and after we ate we totally understood. We waited at the bar for our table. the bartender (slender blond woman)... More

My husband and I had dinner last night. The restaurant was suggested by many people so we had to try it. We were not disappointed . The food was excellent . My husband had a delicious fennel salad to start. I ordered tagliatelle with bolognese sauce. Both were great. For main course I ordered veal piccata. It was tender, just... More

My wife and I revisited Ports again this year--this is definitely one of our Must Do restaurants. The Meal--Service--Desserts are all top notch and rank up with the best restaurants in North Boston. Definitely worth the visit--it is great.

What a fabulous resturant....we arrived for our 5:45 reservation and were seated promptly. Our server Josh was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in making selections from wine choices to menu selections. Everything was delicious....fresh and made in house. We live in Providence, R.I. and dine out often and would put Ports of Italy above the restaurants on Federal Hill. A must... More

Our family of 11 wanted to be able to make reservations during the weekend of the 4th of July, and Ports of Italy was willing to take one. We all raved about the food and the service The fish was excellent and so were the Italian dishes that we ordered. We enjoyed it so much that when some of us... More
