Had dinner tonight at Arborvine for the first time. Just a wonderfully lovely experience from start to finish. Had two 14 year olds with us which isn't always welcomed at higher-end restaurants but they were welcomed here. The food was delicious- I had the lamb which was done to perfection. Others had the hen beautiful presentation and delicious. Others had... More

I'm fortunate enough to visit Arborvine each time I'm in Blue Hill. For years now I have never had a disappointing visit. I usually have the summer salad and what I call "the tower of power" seafood appetizer for my meal as I'm saving room for blueberry cobbler. One of my gluten free friends had the flan, I wish I'd... We met friends who were at a camp nearby and I was extremely impressed. Food selection was great and everyone loved meals from seafood to meat. I had rack of lamb perfectly done and more than I often find at restaurants. Staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only negative was that despite a very nice wine list they... More

The delightful restaurant Arborvine is ensconced in a converted centuries old house, adjacent to a brewpub owned by the same family. It is very popular, and one should always make reservations. However, after a long work day, one of my colleagues and I thought we would give it a try--and the hostess at Arborvine was very accommodating, finding us a... More

We made our annual visit to Arborvine for my birthday . The ambience is delightful with the antique decor. The hospitality is top notch from the hostess to the wait staff. The food is superior but the only complaint was that in the room where we were seated the other tables were fairly close so my husband was hearing their... More

What a treat to dine in this sweet restaurant. The food was well prepared, presented and very good. The fresh halibut was wonderful with a lemon sauce, scallops very tasty, swordfish was wonderful. If you can fit dessert, the fresh fruit cobbler is wonderful. If you are in the area, this is the place to dine. Nice wine list.

Our first visit, not sure what to expect, except the reviews were promising. We were not disappointed. A very fine table setting, linen and wares. Waitress very knowledgable on menu. Extensive offerings. Service very prompt, but not rushed. Old world rooms, charming. Reservations a good idea, busy in summer months. Every menu item matched with a suggested wine, extensive list.... This is meant to be fine dining, and the food is good, but we felt it was a bit overpriced. The service was alright, but nothing incredible and we felt out of place despite frequently enjoying fine dining Downeast. They do serve beers from the next-door Deep Water Brewing Co, and I'd recommend going there instead and grabbing a burger... More
