Very pleased with the great food although the menus is limited and seafood not always on the menu. Seating is limited so expect a wait especially in the busy season. Service was good and waiter/waitresses friendly and knowledgeable.
Due to COVID and because it was a Sunday in October, there wasn't much open. This pub style restaurant is located a short distance outside the exit from Schoodic Point. I had planned for us to eat lunch there, but the catch was it didn't...open until 2pm. (Think they should consider opening at Noon to catch the Sunday church lunch crowd as well as the tourists.) We probably pulled up about 1pm. Rather than go back to Ellsworth or Bar Harbor, we spent the time driving a short distance to see the Prospect Harbor Lighthouse. Timing was perfect and we returned just as they were opening. Again, due to COVID there was no indoor dining. Orders were taken at a Dutch door and then brought out you at picnic tables. It was a beautiful sunny Fall day so it was so nice to sit outside. Service was very quick. I got the crab roll. I could hear somebody inside when we arrived earlier, pounding away at seafood to pick meat. So grateful for the hard & meticulous work. The crab meat was incredibly fresh! My husband had a burger. I eavesdropped on a conversation learning this is a place the locals like and hang out at. That says a lot. The only downside was that since they would not let anyone in their inside restrooms, again because of the pandemic. They had a port-a-potty behind the restaurant. It was disgust - dirty and soaked from water from the previous 2 days rain. Fortunately I had come prepared with hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. (That's why I gave 4 stars.)More
So glad they were finally able to reopen albeit with a modified menu. Restaurants are especially impacted by Covid requiring increased staffing., The Pickled Wrinkle is still putting out great food, (best burgers ever, and unbelievable sweet potato fries!) Everyone pitches in to make all...work in the most challenging of times...love this place!More
There are few restaurant choices on the Schoodic Peninsula, so we tried this one. The atmosphere is fine - casual with inside seating and some picnic tables. Servers were nice. But the food is quite odd. Check the menu before you go….
We ate at the Pickled Wrinkle after we visited the Schoodic Point part of Acadia national Park. My husband had a wonderful sandwich and I had a great tasting flatbread. Prices were low as well. Much more reasonable than back in Bar Harbor. We would...highly recommend you stop there.More
My plain crispy chicken wings dipped in bbq sauce on the side was as described by The Pickled Wrinkle. Delicious😋!
My husband said his sausage pizza was very good.
Our lady order taker is so feminine, graceful and very charming. Mr. Zayn is also friendly...and attentive.
Great place to dine in when they open at 1 pm and before they close at 7 pm right after you come out of the Schoodic Loop Road of Acadia National Park on Rt. 186. No reservations necessary. Closed on Tuesdays.More
