At the Palace Dinner, breakfast can be very, very good. I went to the dinner full of scepticism-- how could eggs, breakfast sandwiches and pancakes generate so many rave reviews. The dinner is as small, the service is as cheerful and the buzz is as happy as other reviewers have noted. And the food is just outstanding. We ordered deluxe... More

My first visit to the Palace Diner was a delight. While visiting friends in Biddeford we treated ourselves to breakfast at this charming diner complete with 50's music on the radio. We got there after the morning crowds for a late breakfast and I ordered the lumberjack breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly including fluffy pancakes and delicious potatoes. Thumbs up... Had breakfast/ brunch at the palace. Only 16 seats so there may be a wait but the food is worth it! The hash is homemade and the best I have had. Great throwback background music. The staff is very friendly but not pushy. Its one of two diners of its type left in the US. Made in 1927. If your... More

I've been to palace diner a few times now and can't wait until my next visit. A small place with about 12 bar stools, there can be a wait - but it's well worth it! It is also cash only FYI. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. The breakfast sandwich is delicious and comes with some of the best... More

What a little gem. A little pricey, a lot tasty! Most of the items on the menu are very good. I often just get the potatoes and the grapefruit for breakfast. When I want to indulge I go for the Deluxe breakfast sandwich...just try it, you will understand. Coffee is delicious which is more than you can say for most... More

Palace Diner is an old school rail car diner with limited seating. The wait is 5-10 minutes. We tried buttermilk pancakes, and corned beef hash with eggs. The food was delicious. Since the portions are huge, I wish they offered half size options for those watching their calorie intake. The service is excellent with unlimited coffee refills. Cash only.

It is small and cash only, but those are the only hang ups, and I don't even consider them hang ups. Out of this world delicious. The deluxe breakfast sandwich is amazing, as is the French toast and fried chicken! Really it all is, but those are my stand outs.

A tiny restaurant so be prepared to wait outside if its busy. Clean venue, super enjoyable staff and unique atmosphere. A memorable experience. We went for breakfast. Deep fried baby reds were a unique twist and super tasty. I had a basic egg toast sausage and coffee breakfast and was completely satisfied. My cousin says the flap-jacks are delicious but... More

I must confess that I have struggled with writing this review for fear of giving away a local treasure - but it's not a secret anymore. The Palace Diner is a true gem. An original diner with a menu that honors its heritage with some notable twists. The hotcakes and fried chicken, and hash and eggs - are not to... More
