This was down the street from our motel so we tried it. Best food we've had in Maine so far. Reuben soup and corn clam chowder were on the soup bar this day. Both were flavorful. The pumpkin bread was a nice difference. Bay shrimp had good light batter and came with a good cocktail sauce. The seafood dishes were... More

Good food at reasonable prices. The interior decor is also very interesting. Great place for dinner after a day of canoeing on the river.

Gave Rooster one more chance and, again, it was terrible. Waited for a very long time for cold food. We would have sent it back but the waitress never came back. So we ate what we could- cold fries were not edible to me! When the salad and soup bar (weekends) is open you can usually fill up on that-... More

Stopped in for lunch and a beer. Great service! The food came quickly and tasted great. The draft beer selection was decent and the beer was cold!

Memorial Day travel thru, wanted a steak but they were closed. Had to settle for this. The evening started well, friendly greetings and prompt seating. Dinners came with salad bar which I thought was a plus over the standard side salad at most places. I could not find any bread and none was offered. My husband ordered the Fetuccini Alfredo... More

We've been coming here for years and nothing has really changed. This can be good and bad. My wife ordered the lobster pie ( Newburgh style. ) that we've ordered before that was good, but the sauce this time strangely sweet and the skimpy portion of lobster was tough. I got the scallops that were quite good. The place needs... More

While visiting in May we found there were only a few restaurants open, ski season had ended and Memorial Day was a couple of weeks away. This was not our first choice, but because that was closed, we went here. We sat upstairs at the bar. It's small, but very accommodating. I had my first lobster roll here. It was... More

Very good basic pub style food with salad and soup bar. Upstairs local bar offers table and bar service. Free popcorn ! The last time I was there I couldn't get waited on at the bar. It was crowded and I wasn't a local. Anyway I'll try it again this summer during camping season. I have had several very good... More

I had lobster there during a a business trip. The atmosphere was nice, the wait staff friendly and the prices were good. I would certainly go again next time I'm in town.
