I'd never gone here even though I live pretty close. I'd heard about goat cheese and various other earthy crunchy fare, which isn't my thing. Finally, I met a friend there once just to say I did. I wasn't missing much. The waitress wasn't very attentive and eventually apologized saying she had to help with some project in the back... More

The food, service and setting were all perfect. We even got to meet Mae! The home fries were particularly good and my omelet was mushy, just as I requested.

A terrific place for lunch downtown Bath . The local residents highly recommended this great cafe for lunch. You have the opportunity to either sit inside or out on the porch. The selection of food was fabulous. The service was excellent. My wife and had a Haddock sandwich. Good sized sandwich and portion. Don't miss the bakery products available to... More

Ordered a steak and cheese for lunch here, it had no flavor and was the most bland steak and cheese I have ever had. Will never return.

Hi There, I'm wondering if perhaps you have us confused with another restaurant as we don't serve a steak and cheese and have not offered it as a special this year. Sincerely, Katie Winglass, Owner More

We always like to have breakfast here-a little like eating in a tearoom. Beautiful surroundings and good food as well as wonderful baked goods to take out when you leave.

A wonder place for brunch. Helpful well informed staff, prompt and polite. Excellent variety of specialty omelets and a home made hash to die for. Superior baked goods to have for desert or take home for a special occasion..

Mae's (formerly Christina's) has been the meeting spot for four Massachusetts friends who have been gathering for an annual canoe trip for close to 40 years (only the initial three trips involved a canoe). For the past ten+ years we have been going to costal Maine for a three-day reunion; always beginning with lunch at Mae's in Bath. A wonderful... More

I recently returned to Mae's, after having my first poor experience ever. I have always made sure that I gave any restaurant the benefit of the doubt regarding a bad experience. Mae's provided another outstanding experience that pushed my unfortunate experience into the shadows. I had a spicy sausage benedict that was bursting with flavor. The egg was cooked to... More
