Fiddleheads is a nice place to go to celebrate. My son and daughter separately found out they were published in scientific journals today. We wanted to go out to a place that was comfortable but classy and had great food. We chose Fiddleheads. We had pork jowl comfit for the appetizer. We shared a Romaine salad. I needed comfort food... Visited this restaurant twice a year for the last three years and there really isn't anything comparable in the Bangor area. The staff is incredible, and if possible the food is better. Always has unique dishes that i'm nervous to try and have fallen in love each time. Certainly more focused towards couples, adults, and smaller groups. Not to say... More

This small restaurant serves imaginative farm to table food. Everything we tried was good. Service is also good. We tried the daily pie (blackberry) which could have been a little sweeter. The ala mode scoop was pretty skimpy. French press coffee was a nice touch- good and strong.

This is a nice, cozy restaurant. Reservations recommended (we did not have reservations so we had to wait 45 minutes on a Thursday night). Everything we ordered was excellent.

This is a restaurant worth visiting. It is located "in town" so when you first get there you wonder what it is really like inside. Pleasant surprise, exposed brick and very nice environment. We were greeted by the co-owner, Laura who gave us a very in depth orientation to her restaurant. This is a "farm to table" establishment so if... More

First time visit. Menu was unusual. Truly a 'field to table' restaurant with the owner growing many of the vegetables in her own garden and buying the rest locally. Food was very good; service was excellent. Portions were generous. We thought that the lobster spring roll appetizer was excellent. The diners said that the lobster-smoked salmon pasta dish as well as... More

There have been a lot of new restaurants popping up in Bangor and as someone who lives close to downtown, I'm thrilled! However, Fiddlehead remains the best in my experience. The service is excellent, the menu is interesting (as is the cocktail menu) and locally based, and the food is so delicious! Their salmon has to be the most amazing... More

We recently enjoyed an early dinner here. The menu features, for the most part, locally produced, sustainable meats, seafood and produce which your server will detail in taking your order. The wine list, like the menu, is a bit limited in selection. The food is good and the portions generous, but our haddock was not fresh and grilled chicken only... More

I can't say enough good about this restaurant! The food is locally sourced, delicious and creative, always something new. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable! The wine selection is also very good.
