Excellent, elegantly prepared and locally fresh! Wonderful. Very accommodating to help us not be late for our show. Definitely a great find!

We recently enjoyed an early dinner here. The menu features, for the most part, locally produced, sustainable meats, seafood and produce which your server will detail in taking your order. The wine list, like the menu, is a bit limited in selection. The food is good and the portions generous, but our haddock was not fresh and grilled chicken only... More

I can't say enough good about this restaurant! The food is locally sourced, delicious and creative, always something new. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable! The wine selection is also very good.

we found Fiddlehead on Yelp and were not disappointed. Very fun and interesting meal. They are serious about local sourcing, which was impressive.

Me and my wife heard about the place from a guy on the plane... We had a wonderful dinner... She ordered chicken and I ordered burger.. We both loved....The burger was one of the best I ever had

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, but I felt like I was paying more than in other restaurants. The menu is creative, different, very fresh ingredients, and a strong wine list.

We live about an hour and a half from Bangor and always try to dine at Fiddlehead when we attend a play at the Penobscot Theater. Food is invariably fresh and beautifully prepared. Reservations are a must!

Not what expected. It is a small place with a lot of atmosphere and good service. All a plus. But the menu is rather limited and we had a bad experience with the meat we had for dinner. The appetizers were good though. But maybe I will try some other place next time, before coming back here.

Visiting Bangor, we walked in for dinner unaware we needed reservations. They seated us anyway. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, but the noise was too much for my father’s hearing aid, so they moved us to a corner table. That was much better. A member of our group has Celiac disease and cannot consume gluten. Most... More

I'll start with the plusses. Fresh ingredients make for fine dishes, farm to table, one of the best appetizers I have ever had (okonomiyaki), and delicious comp cornbread w/molasses. For a non-alcoholic drink, the cucumber-mint lemonade was inventive and very good. Very accommodating for those with food allergies. Nice small dining room. Now the minuses, notice some crossover here. Loud... More
