So glad we stopped here to eat. Food was really good and lots of it. Good prices. Just loved the deep fried ice cream, it was enough for 3 people.

My wife, daughter and myself just returned from a delicious meal at Miguel’s in Bangor Maine! Lindsay was our server and she was great! Fast service always checking on us to see how we were doing. Nice nacho chips with chunky salsa started us off....We ordered chicken nachos as a starter and they were delicious and plentiful! I ordered 3 gringo beef tacos with sides of rice and re fried beans. The Ladies shared an order of steak burrito with sides of corn and black beans. Everything on my plate was very tasty. My daughter tried the re fried beans and said they were the best she’s ever had… Both enjoyed their shared plate as well. Normally we would have tried the deep fried ice cream but our portions were large and we were more than full. Now El Coyote in West Hollywood has us spoiled when it comes to Tex-Mex as it’s the best we’ve ever had. But we all enjoyed our meal at Miguel’s and recommend people try it out! And once again we’d like to thank our server Lindsay for making our dinner that much more enjoyable!’’CHEERS!More

We wanted to try Miguel’s-hoping for good, fresh Mexican food. Ugh! Nachos were sloppy wet with NO flavor. Enchiladas were bland and dry. To top it off, they didn’t include our fried ice cream in our to-go order. They offered to deliver it to us when...i called back. We waited and waited. The next morning we found ice cream soup in a paper bag outside our hotel room. Really? You deliver ice cream and don’t knock or notify us??? $14.00 worth of a sticky mess the next morning. Never again. There is much better Mexican food at other area restaurants. BooooMore

Sat at the bar and made welcome instantly by Kyle the bartender. Excellent Mexican draft and over the top Mexican food. We will have happy memories of this authentic mexican resto.

This place is quite below average. We stopped in for dinner on our search for good Mexican in the Bangor area. This wasn’t it. The salsa was terrible although the salty chips were the highlight of the night. The California burrito was super dry. It...was loaded with too much potato and mashed potato. Chicken was almost non existent in it. For $18 it should have had at least a small breasts worth of chicken in it. The chorizo enchiladas had no flavor. Can you make flavorless chorizo? I guess so. The rice was dry and not appetizing also like it has been sitting around all day. We didn’t care for the salsa and asked for the other type and the waitress said it would; be $2 to switch. What a joke. Food was not worth it at all . Our search continuesMore

Had free fresh chips and salsa. The chips were crisp and fresh. The “pick” fresh Salsa was …okay. No heat and bland tomatoes, which is disappointing given that it’s summertime and good tomatoes are available. Disappointed that they were out of Negra Modelo, though they...still had Especiale Modelo. A pleasant surprise was that the sides of beans and rice actually had good flavor, a departure from what I usually find in Maine Mexican restaurants. We had the chile rellenos with almond sauce. Definitely a rare find. But great flavor. Would recommend for something different. Also had the carnitas, again good flavor. Looking forward to to trying again.More

Tried Mexican in Maine. Since we were in Bangor, we tried Miguel’s. Being from Texas, we were not sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. One interesting thing was the charge for refills of salsa. The red salsa was good , and I...sprang for the habenero salsa. Though it was not very spicy, it was very good. Their chunky salsa is really just pick without peppers. For entrees, I had the burrito with chicken and verde sauce, and my wife had the avocado tacos. The verde sauce was really plain, but the burrito was very good. The tempura coating on the avocados was a little thick, but the flavor was good. They also brought out a bottle of Maine blueberry salsa that was very sweet. I would recommend that for anyone who doesn’t like much spice. All in all, the food is good and service was excellent. Certainly worth a try when in Bangor.More

My husband and I have gone to Miguel's quite a few times in the past. We have not been in a while, however, as we moved to southern Maine. We were in the Bangor area yesterday so we thought we would go to Miguel's since...we had fond memories of eating there. It was not good at all. Since my husband likes the salsa that it pureed and I like the chunky salsa which is like pico - I asked the waitress for both. We were informed that there would be an upcharge. Last time we were there, there was no upcharge.... I ordered the 2 taco meal with ground beef as my filling and my husband ordered a burrito meal. Neither one of us liked our meals. My fried taco shell was cold and it looked like fried grease. It appeared to have been fried well before I ordered it- probably at least a day prior. My hamburger had no seasoning other than just salt and the meat was not chopped up- it was big chunks of salty ground beef. The only thing on both my tacos was some lettuce, the beef and a tiny bit of cheese- and I mean a VERY tiny bit. My husband's burrito arrived completely dry and it was barely filled with anything other than some equally salted beef. If there was any cheese inside the burrito, my husband never found it. My husband was given a TINY cup of the same chunky salsa we got with out chips which my husband does not like. He wanted to get some sauce or something to put over his dried up burrito, but the waitress dropped off the plates and never came back to see if we needed anything until we were completely finished. Neither of us enjoyed our meal and we talked about how even at Taco Bell, the tacos have more in them. At least Taco Bell puts tomatoes on top. Anyway, we always loved Miguel's in the past but after last nights experience we doubt we will be back.More
