If you have not visited Cook's Lobster & Ale House since it has received new ownership & complete renovation, CHECK IT OUT. The atmosphere, views, food & beverage are outstanding. I love the new bar and expanded menu but I ordered the clam chowder which I've had there before and it was not good. The crab meat roll was watery and not a great flavor. On the positive side the tuna appetizer was excellent.

Went during the lunch rush on a Saturday. Was told a 20 minute wait for a table inside. If we wanted seating outside, we were told it was self searing and to hang around and watch for a table to open and grab it. Didn't like that method at all. Decided to get lobster stew to go and sat outside... More

After crossing the cribstone bridge, watch for the right turn for Cook's. At the end of a long lane, you arrive at the restaurant which sits alongside a working commercial fishing pier. As a result, food is as fresh as it gets. Lots of indoor seating in addition to a deck. We enjoyed some shrimp and corn chowder, lobster wontons... More

This popular Bailey Island restaurand serves fresh caught Maine seafood and it is also possible to buy live lobsters to cook at home. The Casco Bay Lines run sightseeing boat tours leaving from the dock adjacent to Cook's.

After a beautiful ride along Baily's and Orr's Island we stopped here for a late lunch, early dinner. We started with a Calamari appetizer, loaded with Banana peppers, and drizzled with a sweet Balsmic dressing. I was in the mood for steamers, and I'm so glad I ordered them. They were small bellied, and oh so sweet. My hubby had... More

We really enjoyed our lunch at Cook's. The warm lobster roll is very good. Fresh seafood in a charming place with a beautiful view. Friendly service. Definitely a must do on Bailey Island.

This restaurant is expensive, but the shrimp scampi is very good and an excellent value. It had 11 large shrimp and was cooked to perfection.
