My husband and I visit Bailey Island every year and always make time to have at least one dinner at Giant Stairs. Great food, excellent service and friendly warm atmosphere. If you visit in the fall be sure to check the hours of business.

The chef here knows how to cook fish! Both times we visited here, once with a larger family group, and once for take out, the white fish, and scallops were perfectly broiled, with seasonings. Not over done, or dried, and not underdone. Way to go!...More
Nice family restaurant with great food. Always good haddock sandwiches and crab cakes. Exceptional mussels in wine with garlic. The chef, Heather, is the owner. Has been a pleasure dining at Giant Steps for years.
Over a four day period, we ate here three times: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each was nicely done, served with a smile and reasonably priced. Our breakfast was served on paper plates but that was the only mis-step we had.
Found that the food was not as good as previous years. Fried food in general was overcooked. Sweet potato fries almost burnt. Disappointed! Hope it was just a bad day.
