We had a salad, Shrimp Mosca, and spaghettis and meatballs. All wonderful and cooked to perfection. Mosca's has been there since 1946. I have been going there since the 80's. The menu has stayed the same in cooking high quality traditional food. No fusion, no...More

I’ve been to Mosca’s at least 6 times and have never had a complaint. I’ve dealt with the waiting time when they didn’t take reservations because I knew it’d be worth it. However, my most recent trip was most disappointing. The food was great with...More

The menu is basic. It is (relatively) limited. No frills, mostly similar dishes as to what you'd see an any self-respecting, family-owned Italian haunt. Most customers are locals. So how did a place like this, well outside the usual NOLA restaurant circuit, end up being...More

Don't let the building's appearance fool you. People who know good Louisiana cuisine flock to this solid family run restaurant with an Italian flavor. It is a bit of a trek but worth it.

Come for the food not the service and cash on hand as they don't take any other forms of payment. They are closed Sunday's and Monday's and take reservations. The meal was amazing and all plate portions can feed 3 - 4 People. We ordered...More

As an Italian who loves to cook, I can get pretty picky eating Italian food out. Mosca’s does not try to be trendy...they do what they do the best they can every time. Love Mosca’s Italian shrimp, Mosca’s oysters and their chicken...I WILL be going...More

we haven't been there in 20 years, and its as good as i remembered! the shrimp and oyster dishes can't be found anywhere else. this is old school that can't be replicated.

I came because of Calvin Trillin. If he likes a place in his books I try it out. Mosca's is an old fashioned Italian-influenced resto like we have all over Jersey. But Mosca's has entered icon status and it's priced accordingly. Trillin might be surprised....More
