Everything was perfect, the oysters, fish, side dishes were all excellent. Our son is vegetarian and the kitchen prepared eggplant and portobellos on pasta, a real hit. We sat at the bar and our server was outstanding! We will come back.

Great downtown location in the small historic section. Very attractive building with a beautiful old style décor ceiling. Big space, high ceilings, looks right out of the old west. Nicely kept up and/or refurbished. Perhaps a tad noisy due to all the hard surfaces, though there are some tapestries on the walls. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Started with a small loaf of delicious bread that came with both butter and olive oil. Ordered the Duck & Andouille gumbo. Very good, though I wouldn’t say the duck came through very well. Wife had the panko flounder with crab, I went for the redfish Belle River. The red fish had a crawfish brandy cream sauce that was flavorful and spicy. It went down way too quickly. The flounder was also a hit! We wrapped it up with their breadpudding which hit all the right notes, moist, tender and doused in caramel and cream sauces.

There for rehearsal Dinner, it was a great history place with all the character of a New Orleans or Savannah period home everything was great staff food and service was excellent Great place to dine

I checked the Website before coming
G and it had many more dishes than the restaurant had on their menu. The place is surprisingly expensive for the mediocre food it offers.The flounder was tasteless, the sauce on it like warm and over salted. The stuffing mushy. My husband liked his pork dish.

Fremin’s is a fine dining wannabe! The wait staff is at best amateurish. My wife’s scallops were served well undercooked and my appetizer was beyond tasteless!! My cocktail actually made me sick at my stomach. We will never again make the mistake of going there. The whole experience was over priced and under delivered!!

My husband and I went to Fremins for lunch. Loved the New Orleans atmosphere. The service was excellent. Loved the food. I can't wait to go there for dinner and try the eggplant Napoleon.

Fremin’s has a ton of curb appeal, set in old downtown Thibodaux with a French atmosphere.
Lauren was our server and was very attentive and yet didn’t interrupt us. She did a excellent job in taking care of us.
The food was well, I had the ribeye aged and cooked fantastic. Kim had the crawfish tortellini carbonara the flavors just popped and my son had the soft shell crab Lefouche crab tender pasta great.

I thought their burger is one of the best I've ever had. Very tasty and they made it just the way I liked. Everyone had something fabulous. Cool interior makes you feel like you're really in a great southern restaurant.

We were told of Fremin's Restaurant by Carmel Inn and Suites. Fremin's was a wonderful experience! Our waiter was attentive during a very busy time which we greatly appreciated. We decided on an appetizer of Lobster and Mac N' Cheese. It was amazing! Our main course was a seafood platter and it was delicious. So glad we decided to share this entre. There was enough food for 3 people.

My wife and I have been here several times and the staff are so welcoming. The food is absolutely outstanding, please try the char grilled oysters, they are amazing! The Cobb salad is terrific and can be shared. There has never been a dish where we were disappointed.
If you ever sit at the bar ask for Jorden or Leighton, great drinks and great personalities!

It is quite expensive, but it is excellent. Huge choice of delicious martini's (almond joy was great!). For starters we had a cup of gumbo each which was delicious, and shared a portion of oysters which were lovely. For main course, my husband had the blackened red fish which he loved, and I had the stuffed flounder which was fantastic. I had wondered whether to order a side of brocolli with it, but didn't, and found it came with mixed veg so was glad I hadn't. The wine we asked for wasn't available, but the waiter suggested an alternative, and brought some out for us to taste. It was very nice, so we were happy to have that instead. Lovely atmosphere of a proper restaurant where you could enjoy a whole evening.

A bit overrated. Oysters were fabulous, main was okay, desert likewise. Setting ist great, food feels a bit like from 15 years ago. Portions are on the very large side...
