Stopped in on the Cycle Zydeco ride. Food & service was a real treat. Owner was a great guy to the out-of-towners & held court explaining his history & how the food was made. Sold us on grits! Cannot say enough about the experience. Thanks!

My family took me here during our visit to LA. This place is incredible. Best biscuits ever. Best chicken fried ribeye steak. Tremendous crab cakes... It was all perfect.

This restaurant has it going. Fantastic décor, outstanding food, great service and an oyster bar. We loved the eggplant and sweet potato fries! The shrimp and grits and shrimp-eggplant tacos were out of sight. I can't believe such a great place is in a tiny Louisiana town.

We were referred to this place by a friend, so we decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. For an appetizer we had the crabmeat egg rolls and they were delicious. For the entree I had the crab cakes- some of the best I've ever eaten! They were all crabmeat with absolutely no fillers! My wife had the... More

The seafood gumbo that comes with the platter was superb!! Then Zydeco Oysters.....wow! Was worried they'd be too spicy but it was excellent. The main courses included the seafood platters (1 grilled and 1 fried) and an eggplant crab dish. Wow! Loved the eggplant! The biscuit bites were like nothing we've had before--butter and sweetened with honey....outstanding! Cory was our... More

I found a roach in my food, was told that I didn't have to pay for the food (that I took one bite of) that had the roach in it, but was charged full price the rest of the food that we didn't eat most of. Obviously, the roach was alive when the hot cheese was poured on it.

Best fried oysters I have ever had. Plus charbroiled oyster right in front of us and served hot and fresh. Shrimp and grits! Man those were good plus biscuits. Make the trip to Sunset.

Down here for work and before Christmas, I finally managed to make my way over to this restaurant. Since then, I've been three times and plan on going again tonight. Good food, reasonable prices, and the inside has a real welcoming atmosphere. And the free biscuits are fantastic.

Of all the places we could have gone in and around Lafayette, LA, our out of town friends choose Cafe Josephine. We had taken them there before on a recent visit and they were so excited to go there again. Some of the bet cajun food to be found. Between the four of we had the surf and turf, zydeco... More
