Hosted 15 family members for lunch on a Friday. Restaurant was packed but since I made reservations we were seated next to a window overlooking the water. Our waitress handled our ordering in a timely manner delivering the right meals to the right person without a hitch. There is a $9.99 lunch menu that has a wide variety of food to meet anyone’s desire.
We sat and visited from 12:30 till 3:30 and never felt rushed or in the way.
Will definitely be back for more of Phil’s Marina.

A group of family members recently had a delicious meal at Phil's Marina Cafe. I chose the fried catfish platter and asked the staff to grill the fish, which they did. It came topped with shrimp and mushrooms in a buttery sauce, with a side of veggies. (There are five sides you can choose from.) The staff was very professional and friendly and we all had a very enjoyable time.

I ordered the shrimp special and my husband got the softshell and raw oysters on the side. All were delicious as always. My husband ordered a cheeseburger poboy which was incredible. My brother also ordered a cheeseburger poboy (see comments). Sure miss being able to go to the restaurant because of the virus.

It’s a shame, but I think Phil’s has really gone down hill. There used to be entrees that seemed to have fresh seafood and attention to detail in the execution. It seems like cost savings and lousy cookery have made the meals not worth ordering.

All of our choices were good. Typical New Orleans food and not over priced. We had a variety of lunches and all were pleased. ( crab cakes, fried oysters, Fried Shrimp poboy and roast beef poboy. We were traveling through. We wanted to stop again on way back but they don’t take reservations and the wait was 45 min

Phil’s Marina Cafe is a family favorite, and our choice to entertain visitors. Accessible by boat or car, they serve consistently great food and service. My opinion is that they serve the best fried catfish of any restaurant and their seafood is alway fresh and top notch. A must try is the fried bow tie pasta with crab dip, and their off-the-charts onion rings. Wish there were more than 5 stars to rate this local favorite.

I’m so glad we decided to eat here while in Slidell. We were on our way to a swamp tour and had limited time. The waitstaff was vigilant of that & helped make sure we got our food quickly & efficiently. The food itself was amazing. I had crab cakes and Mac and cheese- both were excellent! My son said the catfish was some of the best he’s ever had! Would 10/10 recommend to a friend!

Went on the recommendation of some locals, and it did not disappoint! The crab cakes were absolutely delicious and I could’ve made a meal out of those alone. But didn’t, as we also had and loved the shrimp both fried and sautéed as well as the catfish. We also had the smoked Gouda grits, salad with their creole vinaigrette and crème brûlée. Everything was very good. Saw that the oysters were quite popular and they were big and beautiful but by then we were stuffed and needed rolled out of there. Thought it was a good bang for our buck and we enjoyed sitting at the bar and visiting with the regulars. I would definitely go back.

What a wonderful experience!! Everything was amazing. We had the fried bow tie pats, eggplant sticks and calamari And crawfish for appetizers. We had the shrimp and grits, the sirloin and the Snapper. Bread pudding for dessert. Everything was simply delicious. This will be our go to from now on when we visit the area.

Huge servings! Twenty-four large shrimp and fries for $14. Chicken fried steak was 2 large pieces with fries just as reasonable. The food was good. Service a bit lackluster but we believe that to be the young age of our server. Large indoor seating. We recommend Phil's for a great meal.

I was having lunch with a neighbor at Phil’s Marina recently . I throughly enjoyed the chicken and sausage gumbo ( fantastic as usual) and the Royal Reds. My neighbor ordered a fried catfish on a bun which she said was delicious. The only problem was there wasn’t any tartar sauce or cocktail sauce on the plate. We figured the waitress forgot to give her the sauce so she asked for a tartar sauce. Imagine our surprise when we were informed that there is a $.75 cents charge for it. We are used to getting at least one container of tartar or cocktail sauce when ordering seafood. What’s up with this!

Ate dinner here solo on a Tuesday night. It was busy though I had no problem getting a table, but I can see how reservations for bigger parties, especially on weekends, would be needed. Nice location on the marina. I had the crab cake as an appetizer and a dish with shrimp over pasta as my main. Both were good, though I felt the shrimp dish was more oily than it should have been. Waitress was kind and efficient, stopping by frequently to refill my tea. Prices fair.

This is one of my husband & I’s favorite places. We usually go during the week during their lunch special time. Great fried oyster poboy. Exceptional fried shrimp 🍤. Mahi-mahi also very tasty. Family business. Great service. Reasonable prices. Boiled crabs, crawfish & shrimp. Varied menu. American, seafood & Italian.

this is our favorite place to eat when we are in
Slidell. We love the royal reds, bow tie pasta with crab dip. My wife gets the jumbo shrimp platter and I get the crab meat au gratin. We usually split our meals with each other. Oh, really good crawfish bread as well.

We loved our super-fresh seafood. The catfish literally melted in my mouth. The location is great. Right on a scenic waterway. We got seated immediately. Despite the place being packed, the food arrived right away. Friendly staff, too.
