We took advantage of a 2 for 1 offer on messenger. Had a reservation for 5:30 on a Thursday. Wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and crumbles, 6 oz filets, augratin potatoes with bread. Great food. We had to both order the same steaks, which seemed odd. Would have thought we could each order what we wanted and be chafed for the more expensive one, which actually would be more beneficial for them. Small place, long time Shreveport spot.

i would love for Mr. Gary to give me a call love the food, love the environment , but this envolves entress outside of the cub.... that accuredlate 2021 at a residence of his!!!! Its urgent and that he contact me so we can get this issue taken care of have blessed day!!

Located in a small bar is Cubs! The food is great, and it’s not Hugh so service is good. Known for their steaks, never had a bad one. You can come very causal.

Called on Monday and made a reservation for 2 people at 6 pm on Tuesday night, which whoever answered confirmed. Drove about 15 miles from north Bossier to eat there for our anniversary only to find the restaurant closed with a sign on the door indicating they are only open Wed-Sat nights! We were really looking forward to it, so disappointed. We ownership not impressive here...

The best steak I've had in years. A wedge salad on a chilled plate. So, so good. Great staff and speedy service. The restaurant is small and intimate. Funky in a perfect way. There are very few tables so I recommend reservations. I can't wait to go again!

Great hidden gem. A couple of collugues and myself stopped in and couldn't have been more pleased. Small restaurant area, great service, terrific meal. Soft shell crab appetizer was perfectly prepared. One had the filet cooked on spot. Fried shrimp with algrauten potatoes was so good. I will be back.

I have heard of the Cub’s steaks for over thirty years and finally am able to confirm that they are INCREDIBLE. Cooked to order, very tender and delicious. We also ordered Eggplant appetizer, which was so good it could have been our main entree. Sides were also excellent: au gratin potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and wedge salad. Now I wonder what took me so long to try this restaurant. Yum.

Don’t let the look of this place stop you! The restaurant is inside a bar but there was no smoke in the bar or restaurant. The food was delicious! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Very small only about 10 tables but we were seated immediately. We will be back!

Pulled up a place to eat "American food" and chose this from the list of potentials....I was really confused on arrival, because it certainly didn't appear to be a restaurant.
When I worked my way through and discovered the restaurant part, it was quite a surprise. Tiny area for dining, very comfortable and excellent, friendly and personal service (I was the only dine in patron at the time).
I had a grilled beef, shrimp & veggie kabob, served on a bed of rice (white rice with minced pepper and onion); included a wedge salad.
The meal was excellent. Most of it went back to the hotel with me, and it was equally good reheated.
I will be checking this out again next time I am in S'port - the au gratin potatoes were highly recommended, and the desserts will bear checking out as well!

This is our go to spot for either a quick solid steak dinner or a chill night over wine. Filets are top notch. Charcoal cooked (I do believe) with a flavorful char and juicy center. I usually order my steaks medium rare but here I would suggest medium. When they cut their steaks as thick as they are wide you may end up with more red than pink, but i'm not complaining. Au Gratin potatoes (very good) and a wedge salad are included in the price so you can get out under $35 per person with out drinks. They also have a very by the glass wine list between $9-15 a glass. Soft shell crab and marinated crab claws are small but very well done. A Shreveport classic.

Had a filet here on several recommendations. Excellent quality cut; though a little over seasoned. Next time lite seasoning. The wedge salad and au gratin potatoes were superb. The booth behind me was chowing down on lobster tails. Service is excellent. Funky place. Reminds me a bit of Gene and Georgetti in Chicago. Who knew?...

Their filets will just melt in your mouth. Great glass of merlot with this and it’s the best! Cheesecake for dessert and it was also wonderful. Reservations recommended, very few tables but good service. $100 for two of us to eat.

Tucked away in the back of a dive bar is not where you expect to find a great steak with a Louisiana twist. Really great food in a simple environment. Be patient as they may be out of things that are not fresh enough or in season, but rest assured the food will be great.
