Nice place and good music. They allow smoking so beware. I would have rated it higher if they didn't allow smoking

The noble savage is the place to go for great food, a large beer selection and knowledgeable staff. The sandwich menu is a must. I recommend the muffuletta! Try to eat a whole if you can, but the half was MORE than enough for me. The place isn't fancy, but who cares with food and beer like they serve. I... More

I had a mixed opinion of my visit. First off I don't mind getting carded. But when I am twice the age of the person I have to chuckle. Next I am told it is a city policy, ok. But then I didn't see him card any other patrons as they came in. I had a great pizza and would... More

Thursday night is Dirty Red's Jam Session. While I living in Shreveport, I loved to visit then. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is unlike anything else you'll find in Shreveport.

My husband, adult son and two of his friends originally stopped here for a beer before dinner down the street. Our waiter - Trey, asked if we were staying for dinner and initially we said no, we had reservations elsewhere. We did order an appetizer after Trey read the menu to us. No printed menu, just what the chef is... More

Shreveport may not have that much going for it. A large number of people I spoke to said that they lived there and qualified this with 'unfortunately'. Well, if you can have this place as a local, you are very fortunate. The head barman, Peter (if I recall through my beer-induced haze) was brilliant. The food was very decent. The... More

If you do nothing else in this lifetime, hit the Savage on Thursdays for the open jam night. I guarantee you will be impressed with the musical talent that packs this place. While there are many regulars, the atmosphere is still very inviting, and the bar has a great selection of beer and liquor. I've yet to try the food,... More

Had a great time at the Savage. The gumbo was delightful, and the music was superb. It was recommended by a local friend
