5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My wife and I had driven all day and wanted to have a good dinner in a casual setting. We enjoyed a really great Cajun dinner in a relaxed, hospitable atmosphere for a reasonable price. The service was remarkably fast. This is a fine place for a great meal in Shreveport.

My husband and I were in Shreveport for a business meeting, so we decided to try a new place while we were here. Crawdaddy's Kitchen did not disappoint. My husband ordered the Crawfish Supreme, which was crawfish Etouffe served over a crawfish cornbread, and it was delicious! I ordered the small fried fish platter and a cup of crawfish and... More

Food is good (not great), service is slow, prices are up there with fine dining, decor is Cajun shack, partially air conditioned. Margaritas are expensive, small, & crappie tasting. Get draft beer if you want alcohol. Fried foods have extra grease, large quantities of food, may be cold by the time you get it from kitchen.

We sure wish we'd made a better impression here, Bob. Our goal is always for our food and drinks to be worth our prices, so we're concerned that our dishes didn't quite hit the mark. We aim for flavor and heat, so your meal should have never come from the kitchen anything but hot. The experience you described certainly isn't... More

This is a casual eatery that is fun for families with children as well as adults. The food was good--not great. But everyone in my party enjoyed it. The waitstaff was great!

So highly rated, my family had high hopes for a last taste of Louisiana before returning to Texas (but born and bred between New Orleans and Avery Island). What a disappointment, food-wise. Thank goodness our waitress was wonderful in warning us of certain pitfalls, such as the "oysters on a half shell" come from a jar, not shucked in-house (a... More

We pride ourselves on being the real deal, Skipper, and we're sorry that didn't shine through for you more when you stopped in for dinner. We can understand you having high standards, especially coming from South Louisiana -- Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and the surrounding areas have some of the best food you'll find in the world, and that's... Saying you have oysters on the half shell, but you don't shuck them yourselves... they actually come in a jar, means you don't have oysters on the half shell. Why bother putting it on the menu? The etouffee would be considered decent in Dallas. In New Orleans, serving overcooked crawfish will get you closed. Serve it on unseasoned, mushy rice... More

I'm from Los Angeles, so when any of my friends from California come with me to Louisiana, I always bring them here. It's super southern, deep fried everything! The hush puppies are my favorite, the portions are quite large, and the people watching here is like none other! Great service, just over all fun and down to earth! Go very... More

Based on reviews, we tried this for the first time last night. Excellent decision. Began the meal with the Crawfish bread. So good. Small loaf with enough for 2 slices each. Cole slaw and pickled tomatoes came out next...followed shortly by our entree. I had the grilled tilapia and jambalaya. It was good but probably won't order it again. The... More
