The sandwiches are really great. We would go there for lunch, as I would not be confortable to go at night. If you don't know where it is it may be hard to find.

Great food, very friendly owners and a fabulous bit of history... It was worth it just to take in all the color.... Enjoy!

Been eating their muffulettas for years and always delicious! Thin bread full of wonderful olive spread with ham, cheese, and salami. Family owned restaurant and owners and staff very friendly. Visiting Shreveport is a must stop! We think better than New Orleans muffulettas because bread is not so thick and served warm.

In the 1920s, a number of Sicilian owned- and run grocery stores dotted the neighborhoods across Shreveport. Fertitta's is one of the few still operating, though its main mission is now tasty muffalettas and po'boys, glasses of cold sweet tea and a step back in time. Talk to proprietors Agatha and Robert in between customers and they'll tell you about... More

A Shreveport institution that we didn't know about until a recent article in the Shreveport Times came out. It's reminiscent of some restaurants in New Orleans with a lot of history and character along with good food.

Great history with this place - Mr. Sam Fertitta made it famous with his signature Mufaletta or "Muffy" as they call it - his daughter Agatha now continues the tradition - and don't miss trying the "pronto pizza's" as well

Family owned business for generations by the Fertitta's. Historical building. Olde world Italian food will not disappoint. You have to schedule time to drop by and have delicious lunch at this warm and friendly establishment.

Old style storefront. Old timey setting throwback to the 50's. Food made only after you order. Lunch only. Been there for many years.

My family is originally from Shreveport, but after eating here I won't listen to my uncles advice for good food again. I got the original Muffy. Think of an English muffin with bologna, slices of block cheese, and green olive spread. It's literally just that simple. Nothing fancy about it, nothing tasty about it either. You pay $5 for cheap... More

The food is sooooo gooood, you just want to return again and again. Of course we had their famous "muffy" and it's just as good as their reputation. Would highly recommend it. Make it a must.
