Great food. Great service. Good menu selection and great Bread Pudding. Full Bar and very clean. Downtown area with shopping and restaurants and easy parking. Muffuletta is great. Worth the time. Will return to this location.

This cozy, downtown restaurant is perfect for those looking for a taste of Louisiana. The prices are great, the staff is always friendly. I highly recommend their chicken strips, catfish, or crawfish dishes.

We are passing through Ruston and ordered food to go. Great fast service, food was delicious. Reasonably priced lunch specials.

I love this place. It's a favorite for the locals. I always get their etouffee or fried crawlfish tails.

We love this place and the food is always good... however, I am a roast beef po-boy lover and I was so disappointed with this item. I asked for the gravy on the side, so I expected some sliced Roas Beef on this sandwich. What...I got was a LOT of mushy overcooked roast beef that had no texture whatsoever. It was the texture of squash. The roast was like a minced meat soggy type of mushy, messy mess. NO sense putting gravy on it, the gravy had meat in it so they would have fared better by putting the gravy on the poboy rather than the mushy stuff. It was aweful. I paid 12.00 for it, and barely ate one half. I boxed it up for our dog. No kidding, this is not a traditional roast beef sandwich. If you've ever had a sloppy joe, it had more meat texture than this thing. Too bad because their other food and poboys are great.More

The food was delicious. The fried shrimp and crawfish was delish. The fried oysters were chewy! The etouffee was just ok. It didn’t taste like etouffee nor did it look like etouffee. Very bland. Anywhoo maybe we’ll eat here again if in town. On the...fence!!More

Gumbo ordinary but too salty. Mostly fried stuff: shrimp, oysters, crawfish. Did not enjoy the fried, green tomatoes, but I like them done differently anyhow. Interesting spot, lots of patrons who love the place. Very good waitress, Kaylie.

Great place to eat in Ruston if you like Cajun food. Enjoy the shrimp, oysters, crawfish, and catfish to name just a few of the items available. My personal favorite is probably the stuffed catfish.

Some work friends and I ate at Ponchatoulas this week and it was average. I was expecting it to be really good since it is highly rated in the area. I ordered the fried shrimp and every shrimp had that chlorine / chemical taste. I...really do not like shrimp that have this taste and was extremely surprised to have shrimp at this restaurant with it. I really did like the boudin balls and would definitely recommend those. The fried pickles were average and so are the fries. It's an okay restaurant and has a good feel, but I don't think I will return. I may have just been unlucky and got some bad shrimp, but I would figure the quality control would have been better. Service was very good and our waitress was very attentive.More

Billy, our team at Ponchatoulas is disappointed to hear the quality of your food was not up to par. This is definitely out of the norm considering we only use Gulf Shrimp. We hope you decide to come back in order to get the true...More

The grilled chicken, fish, and shrimp with grilled vegetables. You can do no rice or bread and that would work.
