In town for a business, stopped in for supper since the last time it was amazing. Must say we were not disappointed. The super seafood platter and seafood poboy did not disappoint. Having a great time until a customer with a huge chip on his shoulder started complaining about his food. Insulting everyone from the cook to the management. Stating... More

The highlight of living in Opelousas, Soileau has never disappointed me, and I've eaten there at least twenty times. From their Super Seafood Platter, to Lobster, to a Hamburger, food is always served hot and plenty of it! Eat in or take out, I love the dining experience of Soileau's.

I ordered the Super Seafood Platter ... It was delicious. It had baked stuffed red snapper, a stuffed pepper, fried oysters, fried catfish, frog legs, fried shrimp, and a loaded stuffed baked potato. The service was good as well. I did not have the bad experience that some other reviewers had; I really can't complain other than it is a... More

I have eatten at soileaus more times then I can count and was never disappointed. The fried chicken and broiled chicken are my favorite, I usually get it once a week. If you are in or near opelousas this is the place to eat!

I am so sorry to pan this place, but the food was so mediocre that I cannot recommend it to anyone. If you're in south Louisiana, you should be getting great food but this wasn't it. I had a big platter and I left huge amounts of food. The stuffed pepper was weird. It had seafood filling which was not... More

I don't usually write reviews but I felt the need to praise these people for a amazing meal. The crawfish dinner is the best thing I have ever eaten. The quality of their food cannot be denied everything was fresh and homemade. No wonder this place has been around since the 30s.

This place is way to expensive and the lady manager or owner, whatever her position at Soileau's Rest. is very out of touch on how to run a restaurant and take care of customers. We had a table with 7 adults and spent approx. $250 dollars. No alcohol, appetizers or dessert. One of the people in the group found hair... More

Needed a place to eat in Opelousas and decided to give this a try. Read some reviews about the place being dated but I found it to be clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. My PoBoy was huge and although it didn't come with fries like I thought, ended up not needing them. Love how the PoBoy bread was... More

Their food is great but be expected to pay for your food! Their stuffed peppers, stuffed shrimp and crabs are the best I have ever had, not much breading and delicious! I love the way they offered either fried or broiled. I prefer broiled, because I can taste all the different flavors of the seafood and seasoning; my husband prefers... More
