Everything was amazing! The homemade bread and fries were the best. Hot and fresh!!! 2 people had hamburger steak. I had the fried shrimp pobou on thier homemade bread, my hubby had chicken fried steak, one had fried crawfish salad, and one had grilled chicken...salad. Great prices and lots of food.More
Food is very good and fresh in an intimate environment, make sure to ask about the assortment of cakes that are made on premise, it's worth the calories. To me one of the best, if not the best restaurant in town.
One of the secrets that New Roads keeps is how great this restaurant is. Baton Rouge really isn’t that far away but it’s mainly the people who live out here who know about it. The service was great the food is outstanding and the atmosphere...is cute. Not a real big restaurant so maybe you might want to try it on a weeknight.More
We went here with another couple. This was about the fourth time I’ve been here and I enjoyed every meal. We started of the night with some really nice cocktails, I had a Manhattan and my wife had a Blueberry Martini, both were delicious. For...entrees I had the stuffed trout, my wife had the portobello ma mamas, our friends had the redfish Hayden, and the tomato basil lobster pasta. We all shared and they were all really good. We shared a gigantic slice of praline chocolate cake. I recommend this place, it’s a cozy place with really good food. My favorite dish is the Eggplant Bayou Teche.More
Heard great things about Ma Mamas, was so excited to eat there. Atmosphere was very cute upon entering with our small family. Waitress was rude. Never refilled our waters or asked us about more drinks. All the food came out at once, apps, salad, every...thing. My soup was super cold. The oysters Rockefeller was caked in spinach, couldn’t find the oysters. Food was subpar. Very disappointing experience.More
