cajun music and dining at it's best

Landry's is one of the oldest fine cajun creole dining places around New Iberia. The music on Friday nights. Is always by local musicians who enjoy playing for all natives and visiting guest.

VERY nice people, great seafood buffet, excellent salad bar (loved their homemade ranch dressing) very good chicken and sausage gumbo, yummy pistolettes, pretty water setting with ducks swimming around as you're walk up to the door and if we are ever back in New Iberia we will definitely eat there again and visit the Konriko rice mill!

Should have read TripAdvisor's previous reviews but....we were headed south on Hwy 90 and saw the Landry's sign. My wife had a shrimp/seafood salad and found that it was fresh and quite good. My trip to the small salad bar and buffet was disappointing. Chicken, spaghetti, some kind of seafood jambalaya not really warm. If you stop here...order off the... More

Ate there 11/5. Landry's, which is a local family owned restaurant and not part of the chain, was highly rated on Trip Advisor and glowingly recommended by our hotel staff. Our expectations were high, but did not live up to those lofty goals. It was probably our fault for not ordering correctly. A bowl of gumbo was excellent, the salad... More

I thought it was great. Lots of choices, lots of food, lots of great taste. Service was far, place sender clean, washroom could use a little attention. I had the chicken, brand, mashed potatoes, salad bar, and the desserts, were excellent. Would come back here and try the other dishes on the buffet. Hard not to over eat, but, like... More

Dinner out for four of us that were staying at Rip Van Winkle Gardens B&B was less that we anticipated. A Saturday night buffet looked good as we arrived and three of the four ordered it. One ordered off the menu. The selection on the line was adequate but nearly all items turned out to be barely luke warm. The... More

Landry's of New Iberia is family owned and NOT part of the Landry's chain run by Tillman Fertitta. If you are looking for warm, friendly people and great food, make your way to Landry's on Hwy 90 @ Jefferson Island Road. The seafood gumbo is wonderful (although I find it improves with a little file' added). A bowl of gumbo... More

We've dined at Landrys twice, both times the buffet was outstanding. Hot food, big selection of seafood and Cajun food. Will definitely visit again. Added treat - feed the turtles, ducks, and catfish on your way out!

Don't mistake this local place for the chain of the same name. My sister and I were here early Saturday night for the buffet which was unbelievable. Etoufee, crawfish pasta, red beans and rice were wonderful. Do not miss the bread pudding! Loaded buffet including dessert or you can order from the menu. Cajun music in a separate room off... More
