Personally we did not like the meat pies but that may be our personal taste. We have had much better meat pies in Natchitoches. We were in Natchitoches attending a professional conference. Salad bar was minimal. Some of the lettuce was rotten. The rest room was falling apart and dirty. But the front cashier who took our to-go order was... More

If you're going to visit Natchitoches then you need to visit Lasyones. They are only open until the early afternoon so this is the perfect spot for lunch. You've got to try some of the famous meat pies. They are a bit greasy but what delicious southern food isn't. You can tell everything from this place is homemade with love.... More

The best home cooking. And the meat pies. You have got to try one. Can't go wrong with anything. It's all delicious. And don't forget dessert. The place isn't fancy but the food is great.

This lovely restaurant is only open till 3pm. I tried the crawfish pie while Hubs had the étouffée and both were amazing. The Ladies serving were cheerful and smiling and enjoyed working there. This is restaurant is a few blocks from the river but easy to walk too. The restroom is a one seater and is in the back past... More

This is a pleasantly aged downtown restaurant -- the kind of place locals go for breakfast. I'd have happily done the same, if I hadn't already eaten. I stopped in to get a couple of the famous (in some circles) Natchitoches meat pies, to take along for lunch. You can read about them in other reviews. Obviously opinions differ, but... More

...Try one. So we did today! As you may have read, they area pastry dough hamburger fold-over. Then deep-fried to make the pastry dough crispy. Good-not spicy. I had the dirty rice on the side, which was dense, lacking and specific taste. Would pass on that. The place is popular for lunch-as in every table filled. So be patient. Do... More

Interesting. Great onion rings. Meat pies? I'm sure the Nachitochians love them. Not much more to say. Enjoy the atmosphere.

We tried both but actually loved the crawfish Pie more than rthe famous meat Pie, although it was delicious too. The homemade ranch dressing was very good. I would eat it on anything!

Lasyone's is a must stop for anyone going to Natchitoches! I'd skip everything else and just get some meat Pies! Everything else is just as good, but if you're there, fill up on what is really good!! I wish they were open later for supper though.

Lasyone's is known for their world famous meat pies....so that is what I had. The meat pie is a deep fried shell filled with cooked hamburger. It is tasty for sure, a bit greasy, but a fun place to have lunch. It is local favorite and gets very busy. If you visiting, you have to have a meat pie at... More
