Not what it used to be!

Not sure what’s going on with this place. When needing a quick meal in Natchitoches, this has been our choice for almost ten years. We were always pleased with the quality, price, and size of the serving. However, on the last couple of visits, we’ve noticed an expected price increase and quality has gone down along with the size of the serving. The service is okay and about the same. On our next visit to Natchitoches, I believe we may have to try a new place.

Good fast food

We stopped at Magee’s on our way home through Natchitoches. As it was New Years Day there were only a handful of restaurants open, so we decided to try it and what a pleasant surprise it was. The restaurant was clean, the employees were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food (we ordered gourmet burgers with fries) was delicious. The fries were crispy and not greasy. Some of the best I’ve had. We will definitely stop here again when we travel through Natchitoches.

Visiting from Alabama, We made two visits to Magee’s. First visit we stopped for an afternoon treat. It was extremely hot and we stopped and We got a hot fudge Sunday and a milkshake. Both were very good and perfect for the 103 degree day. We went back that evening for supper and it was very good also.

Best patio dining in Natchitoches

We were in town for our sons college baseball games, and we like to eat local when traveling. We had lunch before a game and could not be more pleased. Food was very good ( I definitely recommend the meat pies) and service was outstanding. A definite 5+ stars!!!

A good place to eat.

Tasty food. As a matter of fact, it was better than the Mariner and a lot less money. Ordered the shrimp poboy and it was fantastic. First time visitor and I have been to Natchitoches many times. If I ever go back, I will be sure to stop in at Magee's.

Good seafood

The atmosphere and service was great. We got a seafood plate and a burger. The seafood was delicious but the burger was on the smaller side. We will definitely go back for the seafood.

Where’s the meat????

Pictures on their website of burgers looks amazing but it was not. Patty as thin as a sheet of paper. It was all bread. Worst burger I ever ate in my life. McDonald’s would have been better. Even a double patty would not have helped this burger. Stay away!!!!!

Great Milkshakes and fast food

Worth the stop for the milkshakes. Great little fast food stop with a large patio. There is also a drivethru. Good for burgers and onion rings. But must have a milkshake!

I went there this afternoon with my family and friends! It was pretty good food! My wife had a meat pie and I ate a cheeseburger and the only thing I can say negative about it is they put mayo on my burger instead of mustard but it was still good!

Delicious food!

We ate lunch here because it was a quick walk from the NSU campus and were greatly impressed with the excellence of their food. I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and wife had the meat pies. Don't remember what the others in our party had, but they all raved about how good it was.
