The staff is courteous, warm, and efficient. These servers obviously care for each other and work as a team. Our server, Conner, was patient and friendly. He handled our super fun kids with ease. Another server helped my 4 year old wash her hands in...the bathroom. I love this restaurant. It’s good every time.More

We’ve been going to Boulevard for many years, mostly for lunch but also lately for dinner. The menu is the same and the food and service are always generally good. The salads are good, the spinach dip is a favorite, and the burgers are good....The prices are high but the service and food quality are consistently good.More

The Boulevard is the total package for enjoyable dining either at the bar or at a cozy table in the main dining area! The restaurant is super clean and the service is amazing. Greeters are inviting and the wait time is usually heightened by peak...meal times. But the food is consistently first-class! The atmosphere is fun for a family birthday celebration and the steaks are prepared to order! The gumbo, grilled cauliflower, shrimp remoulade salad are all DELICIOUS. But the dessert is what you do not want to miss!!!!More

This was our first visit to Boulevard American Bistro. (Historic trivia: bistro came to France from the word "quickly" in Russian.) We liked the restaurant's spaciousness, the lighting, the instrumental music, and the fact that you could still hold a conversation on a busy night--a...rarity in NOLA restaurants. The menu was well-designed and uncomplicated, but we wouldn't have minded having caloric information. What we ordered and what arrived were not the same, but they compensated as best they could. Service could have been better, but another table had a "difficult party", so we cut some slack. Food arrived hot and fresh. For washing hands afterward, the washroom is not an easy find, and while being guided to such my wife and I were both surprised to behold an unappetizing bin of raw ribs in the kitchen prep area. Martini was great; pressed Cuban was missing enough mustard, dill or something; Mahi Mahi fish sandwich was excellent. We will be back!More

Good restaurant in Metairie serving a combo of American and Louisiana cuisine. I had the red bean soup which was delicious followed by a delicious kale salad. Service was prompt and polite. My only complaint is the noise. We were there for a business lunch...and it was tough to follow the conversation between the music and usual restaurant noise.More

Came here for a romantic dinner. Atmosphere was nice, staff was so sweet. We were there for an hour and saw our waitress maybe 3 times (to take our order, bring our food and bring the bill). Normally we expect a little more interaction when...you’re in that setting. My husband and I both ordered a filet- medium (our waitress said it was about 10 oz), a loaded bake potato and the boulevard oysters. The oysters were a little over cooked with way too much batter, making them kind of fall apart. But they weren’t the worst. My husbands steak came medium rare, but he ate it. My steak came well done and my potato only had cheese, bacon and chives. (Both steaks were merely 6 oz, MAYBE) Unfortunately, I couldn’t suffer through mine. When we told our waitress about the issue, she was so kind and offered a new steak or free dessert, which I declined. She instead removed it from the bill (and thank you again, for that). Everyone was so nice that I really WANTED to enjoy it, but the lack of attentiveness, flavor and accuracy all fell short. A few people advised us not to go, but we didn’t listen and went anyway. Probably shouldn’t have. Oh well.More

Went for lunch with friends and it was immediately noticeable how loud the music was. Asked server twice to inquire about turning music down. Noise level got even louder as the place became more crowded. Service was attentive, food was good. A bit pricey in...my opinion. Would not return if I wanted to be able to actually converse with my meal guests.More

This is the 1st time I eat here since it was Houston’s. Of course we started with the spinach dip. It was just ok. My husband got a fish with crab meat on top with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Fish literally tasted like fish sticks...out of a box. It was not good at all. I had the Cuban sandwich with coleslaw. Sandwich was good for the most part but the flavor through out the sandwich was not consistent. Some bite was delicious where others have no flavor. The coleslaw was fantastic and the best thing out of all 3 dishes. Service was great.More
