This is one of my family's favorite restaurants. Only a couple of minutes from New Orleans, in the suburb of Metairie. Typical New Orleans neighborhood restaurant where the locals eat. Open for lunch & Dinner (Mon - Fri). My favorites: Spinach/shrimp bread, Onion Rings, Gumbo, Mama G's pasta, Chicken Parmesan, Muffalatta, Roast Beef Po Boy (the BEST bread!), Fresh Cut French Fries. Honestly, we have never ordered anything we didn't fully enjoy.

We always stop here when flying in/out of NOLA. Hands down the best Italian. Our goto's are Chicken Parm, Blackened Chicken Alfredo and of course the gravy fries app. Service is always on point. Wish we could visit more often. Keep up the great work.

I had to travel to New Orleans for work. And one of the guys knew about this family owned local place so we tried it and it was awesome. They have the best grilled chicken. Not sure how they cook it but it was the most moist chicken I have ever had. Also for desert you have to try the Banana Foster Cheesecake. Really good. But you better come hungry.

Spend your money elsewhere. Customer service is horrible. We decided to dine in at this place and upon sitting down at the table, I could feel a negative vibe from the waiter. Just like other comments, Chris the waiter seemed tense and rude. Upon the food arriving at the table, Chris the waiter blamed kitchen staff for missing ordered items and not having certain vegetables in the salad. Refills did not exist, since he blandly saw the empty glasses, but never refilled them. Worst experience I could think of. We advised the manager of the situation, but I assure you nothing happens to him. Eventually this place will fail just like other family business because of poor performance.

We have been coming here for years on and off because the food is very good and the service is also good. This time we dined on the chicken and eggplant pasta and the chicken club salad. While the chicken on the pasta dish was good the eggplant was not and was mushy, the best way to describe it. The chicken club salad was quite delicious with well grilled chicken and generous portions. For drinks, we ordered a whiskey sour and an Old Fashion. These were NOT acceptable as they were obviously watered down and simply an insult to us as long time diners here. (Normally we order a beer but this was a special evening so we went with cocktails). Our waiter was attentive and we had good service and we did not blame him for this occurrence but he was informed about the watered down NON-drinks and offered no comment. It will be a long time before we return to Giorlando's and I'm very disappointed that this restaurant would have allowed this to happen. Please understand that this was not a matter of the drinks being strong or weak...it was a matter of watering down the drinks. We both know the difference.

We stopped in foe dinner our last night in the area. It was my mother in law's first visit to the area. Hubby had an oyster po boy that he enjoyed a lot. We split and order of cheese fries with gravy...YUMMY! And MIL and i split a half muffaletta and small roast beef po boy. She'd never had any of these treats before and loved them as much as we did! Highly recommend!

This was the 4 of us first trip to Giorlando's and it was terrific. We had to wait a bit for a table due to the place being so popular. Our food came out in a timly manner and all agreed it was very good. Will return.

My wife and I went for lunch on a Monday for the first time since I took some vacation time off from work. We normally dine out on the weekends but, they are closed Saturday and Sundays. I had the Mama G's Eggplant that was fantastic and my wife had a shrimp poor boy that was delicious. The restaurant was supper clean from top to bottom and the wait staff was superb. We are looking forward on going back again soon.

I come to this Italian neighborhood restaurant very frequently. I always get the chicken or eggplant parmesan for my entree. For dessert, I usually have the cannoli or chocolate mousse cake. The staff is amazing. All of the employees (Danielle, Chris, Tooty, Michel, Patty, Emily, and Shannon) are friendly and cordial. So far, the restaurant hasn't disappointed me yet! FIVE STARS!

You cannot go wrong at giorlando’s! We all remember them coming back right after Katrina as one of the first. We eat here once a week! The food is so good no matter what you order: Chicken Caesar, blackened chicken with pasta and eggplant parm are phenomenal! Everyone is friendly, fast and efficient especially michelle. The owners are often there. (We even remember his uncle who owned Giorlando’s across from St Catherine of Siena). We cannot say enough good things. All kinds of great local food too!!!

Our friend in Metarie were taking us out for lunch but the place was closed. I saw this seemingly tried and true place and said let's go. What a good improvisation. We wanted seafood and N. O. traditional instead of Italian. The fried seafood platter was great butthe roast beef po boy was even better, The Muffelata (reccomended by the guy in the corner table) was, as he said better than Central Grocery. And the mashed potatoes were great too. Next time we'll try the Italian.

OMG, the food at Giorlando's is divine. We had to drive down from Virginia, sadly to make funeral arrangements for my aunt. However, since our hotel was so near we ate there three nights in a row. We don't want to eat anywhere else. Then one night, we could not get our big truck into a parking spot. We had to go someplace else. <sigh> We were in the area last year and ate there several nights in a row. There are so-called Italian restaurants here in VA, but believe me, THEY ARE NOT! There is nothing like New Orleans/Sicilian food. I think you should open a branch in VA! the atmosphere is great, lots of neighborhood folk come in and everyone knows everyone. Very friendly and homey!

Consistently good Sicilian/New Orleans classics and seafood. The eggplant parm with angelhair pasta and grilled drum were well done and generous.
