This is small but very well run place. The food seems to be cooked to order so it may be a little slow but nothing too silly. The prices are reasonable and food is great.

Had a very nice dinner tonight at the Royal China on Vets in Metairie -- good good sized platters -- real tasty choices -- sometimes lacking attention to detail of the basics. Not a real biggie but keeps it from a 5. Would go back cuz we enjoyed.

I came here based on the reviews. The food was good and all of the portions were large. My husband and I had house fried rice, which we had to take half with us because of the portion size. The shrimp roll was full of shrimp and nothing else was in it - but I didn't mind since the shrimp... More

Royal China has been in business for over 30 years. It is closed on Mondays. Lunch menu $9.45 or buffet $10.00. Dinner regular menu. Best shrimp fried rice in town. Like hot and sour soup? This is the place. Have a dim sum menu. I eat there once a month and have never had a bad meal. Lunch is very... More

Ordered a take away... food was ready on-time and the portions were very reasonable. The sesame toast shrimp was excellent and the spring rolls even better! Fried chicken rice was also tasty. A good meal.m

I have had Chinese in China, Japan, Europe the US and around the globe. This is one of the best and better than most in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Everything was outstanding. The portion were large and more than enough for two. The fried rice was wonderful and expect to take enough left overs for another meal. Everyone was extremely... More

Goodness, but Royal China Restaurant was outstanding! The service was very good, all of the staff was warm, friendly & efficient. We ordered way too much food--moo soo shrimp, Szechuan shrimp & chicken fried rice--each dish was large, but better yet, each was delicious!

One of the little secret places for Chinese Food in metro are of Metairie, La. This was one of Harry Lee's (local sheriff now deceased) favorite spots as well as several local news TV celebrities. Some of my favorite items here are: the shrimp fried rice, bbq pork ribs, marinated beef short ribs and the Hawaiian Delight. The latter is... More
