Nothing like a little coffee and some good ole beignets and the obligatory powdered sugar cloud you wear on occasion when eating beignets with your best friends. Good place to get some good hot coffee or hot chocolate.

When we come to town to visit, we always go here once. it is always the same. The beignets are light and crisp, the powdered sugar mill requires a deft hand to make sugar appear, and the coffee is divine. For those who work here and preserve the best kind of history, thank you.

Great! Open all the time. If you have a craving,, perfect! Don't wear black you will happily be covered in powdered sugar. But you will be very happy to do so.

The Morning Call is the go to place for beignets and cafe au lait. They have been around since the 19th century and know how to make a cup of coffee. Beignets with powdered sugar and a cup of cafe au lait at the Morning Call is a great way to start or end your day.

My Mom took us to the original Morning Call in the French Quarter. When it moved to Lakeside, that's where I took my children. Now I take my grandchildren to the Morning Call in City Park. I like their beignets and coffee best of all the places that offer them. And I get to sit in our glorious City Park,... More

Nice little quiet spot located in a park. It is a great area for late night coffee and benigets. Our waiter was very attentive. Wish I had of found this sooner and able to enjoy the park during the day. The fact they stay open 24 hours is a plus

Poor Morning Call. Such a venerated Metairie establishment has been plagued with a bad neighbor, mainly, the cigar shop next door. The poor ventilation means that the atmosphere is smoky/hazy, and the place stinks. The beignets were good, but not worth all of the toxic second hand smoke that I had to breathe. The waitress said that they were getting... More

Beignets and service was superb! Beignets were soft, you get to sprinkle your powdered sugar on top, the iced coffee was delicious as well but ask for whipped cream on top as an added flavor.

We took a city tour and we were the first family to enter the restaurant. The waiter was maybe in his 60's. I asked for the menu. He sarcastically pointed at the paper towel holder. So, I ordered Jambalaya sandwich among other items. He told me to pay me immediately. I did and he stood there for the tip. I... More
