I though the quality of the food was terrible and very expensive for the quality!! The restaurant was much better when it was Andy’s Bistro. The menu is not very diverse and the side options are limited. The wine list was terrible and way overpriced...and the descriptions were inaccurate! The restaurant was no where near capacity and instead of spacing us out they put all in the same area which made me feel quite uncomfortable sitting so close to others when there were many empty tables that could have been utilized. Very disappointing experience!! Much better quality at normal fast food drive thru options.More

Ate there last night. Service and food was awesome! Only thing they did not have and should is fried calamari. We shared an iceberg wedge, I had the lamb chops and two cocktails and my wife had the oysters and lump crab with two glasses...of read wine. We will be regulars when we move to NOLA.More

I’ve been to Andy’s several times over the last couple of years, including Thanksgiving dinner for a family of 15, and I’ve always been impressed. The service is top-notch, even for a large group, and the food is delicious. When we were looking for a...place to have our mom’s 90th birthday party, Andy’s came to mind. I contacted Joe Trotta, who was absolutely professional from start to finish. We gave him our budget, and he provided a great buffet menu, along with an assortment of wines and bottled beer. We made a few changes and additions to the menu during the planning process, and he was happy to accommodate while keeping as close to our budget as possible. Some of items he suggested for the buffet aren’t on the regular menu. We had shrimp and andouille cream pasta, filet tips with onions and brown gravy over rice, and fried eggplant with parmesan and marinara. We also had gumbo, an assortment of their flatbreads, and Caesar salad. The party was on a Saturday afternoon, and Joe opened the restaurant so we could have the whole downstairs dining room. We planned on 65 people, and happily ended up with about 75. The room was set up perfectly – the buffet was easy to get to but not in the way, there was plenty of seating, room to walk around and socialize, and a table for the cake. Chris and the kitchen / waitstaff were amazing. When the room started to look a little crowded, they quickly opened and set the two back dining rooms. They kept a close watch on the buffet to make sure we didn’t run low on anything. The bar did a great job of making sure no one’s glass was ever empty, and all of our guests raved about the food and had a great time. I highly recommend Andy’s Bistro for a casual dinner for two, a large family dinner, or a very important large event. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is consistently fantastic, and the service is the best around. Thanks to Joe, Chris and all the staff at Andy’s, we have one very happy 90-year-old mama!More

Very busy on a Christmas Eve-happy and loud crowd. Well, that’s good. Very limited menu but everything we tried was delicious. The waiter was so recommending a wine....telling it is her favorite. It was “only” 300 per bottle. Just wonder if she ever tried it...before herself. Merry Christmas everyone!More

While I feel slightly guilty giving Andy's Bistro only 2 stars...Andy's should also feel guilty for charging such exorbitant prices. This restaurant is apparently trying to be something that it is not...high class/fine dining. My friend ordered lamb chops (appetizer) and was very disappointed. His...comment: "sub-par". The salmon appetizer was good. The bacon appetizer was good - it's bacon! Another friend had the enormous double cut pork chop which was RAW on the inside. She chose not to send it back and just ate the very large side portion of spinach. The seafood gumbo had a good flavor but also had shells or something that I had to remove into my napkin enough times that I gave up. It was also lukewarm. Everything we ordered was over priced and that definitely includes the wine. The one positive is the service. We had a fairly large party, and the server was awesome. Very attentive and very helpful. It's hard to put my finger on what's wrong with Andy's Bistro...but I won't be returning to try to figure it out.More

We were celebrating our 50th anniversary for dinner and really enjoyed the evening. Our reservation was for 5 PM on a Thursday night and we almost had the place to ourselves. We started with the happy hour specials and ordered grilled rosemary head on shrimp...for our appetizer. They (8 large) were very good with a touch of rosemary and a nice size. Our drinks were a gin and tonic and a spicy Bloody Mary that had olives, onion and spiced green beans and very good. Plenty of liquor in both drinks too. Our entrees were on the early bird special which includes a Caesar salad, bread and dessert for $29. I ordered the grilled red fish with almonds and capers. It had zucchini for the vegetable. The fish was cooked perfectly and was a huge serving. The zucchini was slightly over cooked but was okay. Hubby ordered the filet (for an up charge) and baked potato with butter. The steak was unbelievably tender and with excellent flavor; no steak sauce needed here. Both entrees were so big we were unable to eat our dessert of bread pudding so we enjoyed it the next morning for breakfast. Service was great with just the right amount of attention. They also gave us a complementary glass of champagne in celebration of our anniversary! This was a great experience. The only negative I could say is that I thought the Bloody Mary could have been in a taller glass and the music was a little loud.More

Dinner on Monday night, August 19th. We ordered the bacon and the wood-fired oysters as appetizers. The bacon was excellent. The oysters, however, arrived cold as though they had been previously prepared and plated then kept refrigerated until someone ordered them. These were not oysters...on the half-shell but rather grilled over an open flame with parmesan cheese on top so they should have been served hot and they weren't. Our waiter quickly remedied this though. We both had the scallops as entrees and they did not disappoint! Large in size and excellent taste with four to an order. Service was friendly and competent without being obstrusvive. Easy parking and inviting atmosphere on the inside. Definitely worth another visit in the future.More

Went to Andy's Bistro for a birthday party celebration with a group of 16 people. Service started out ok but ended bad. It took an hour to get our check after we had finished our entrees. The food was so so. For the price, the...Redfish Almondine should have been fantastic but it was just ok. It did not come with any sides which was ok as we were getting dessert. It took 45 minutes to get dessert. Overall, I will not be coming back.More

This restaurant has pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a try. Location is good kind of tucked behind another building off Veteran's. Seemed to be lots of parking when we arrived, but lot was full when we left and there were people...looking for parking spaces. Decor is nice, welcoming. Service was average. Nothing to really complain about, but not above average. I had a wedge salad that was really good. Usually this salad is WAY too much to eat, but this one was the right size and was delicious. Things were looking good - and then I got my steak. It was well prepared on a sizzling plate - but the steak itself wasn't great. I like my steaks on the tender side, which is one of the reasons I order ribeye. This one wasn't tender. It was well seasoned, just wasn't a good steak. I don't really know who's fault poor steak is - and it was cooked well and presented well, so I didn't complain - but I wasn't entirely happy with it. Will I return or recommend - maybe, maybe not. Wouldn't be a top choice for me. The friend who went with me said her meal was great - and most of mine was, too - so I can't say it's any worse than "average".More
