Their food is spotty some is very good and some just okay. The fried green tomatoes are excellent. Don't try the mashed potatoes.

We're from northern state with NO access to real Cajun food so have not much to compare it to, anyway...I had ragin' cagin' burger and husband had (his usual, BORING) hamburger steak. Food was excellent! Even his plain hamb steak had some bite to it....My burger I THINK had deep fried pickles in it along with the fried green tom. Seeing as this is a very small cafe, there was only 1 fellow behind the counter mid-day on a Thur. Heck, he may have been the cook also because we didn't see anyone else! Yes, food is cooked to order and it's not fast food but do yourself a favor and stop in. It's small, but they have a good size sign out front so you could miss it if you're from out of town like we were.More

Really impressed with this casual eatery. From the fried green tomatoes to the blackened shrimp tacos. There was nothing we did not like. Casual atmosphere great prices and friendly staff. Don't pass this place up.

You won't be disappointed here! Louisiana food at it's best. Cooked fresh everytime. Unique chips and their own special sauce. First place I go to eat at when I fly to New Orleans from out of state!!

We've been here a few times, and plan to go back. You get a LOT of food for your money, and it's always consistently terrific.

We went for supper. That seam to do a lot of take out orders so our food took a long time to be served. The gumbo was a little brown gravy and the rice was hard. DH did not like it. I had an PUPU...appetizer platter and it was not tasty. The fried pickles were cold. Some of the table were people left were not cleaned in a timely matter. We will not go here again, sorry.More

My husband and I visited the Creole Tomateaux last week for their all you can eat fried catfish special. I was super excited for this as fried catfish is one of my favorite meals. There were a few hiccups in the restaurant that night that...are typical for a newer restaurant still planting their roots, however, the food was well worth the experience! The catfish was wonderful. Texture was great, it wasn’t greasy, and the flavor/spice was spot-on. I’m not crazy about the homeade chips coming with the special. They are great chips but they didn’t really add anything to the catfish meal. They were much better in the appetizer we got with the gumbo on top- gumbeaux nachos, I believe they are called. This appetizer was something else! SO GOOD! My husband got one of the burgers with eggplant fries and really enjoyed it, too! All-in-all, I look forward to going again and trying more of their awesome menu!More
