We stopped off at the Fir and Feathers for Sunday lunch as friends had recommended. Food was lovely. All local produce, roast beef was very tender, and chocolate brownie dessert to die for. Very reasonable prices. Service was good too. I would recommend.

Having looked after our friends house whilst they were holidaying, they treated us to lunch at the delightful Fur and Feathers. With their good selection of draught beers and wines by the glass (as well as by the bottle), the lunch menu is simply perfect....More

Travelling a long way we saw the pub sign beckoning us from the main road. The pub is quietly tucked away with plenty of parking. Staff (well daughter of the owner and staff) were very welcoming with a wide range of wines, beers and soft...More

Pleasant bar on entry and reasonably friendly welcome. Table booked with friends for lunch. Interesting menu close to restuarant prices, however food took rather a long time to arrive, though we did receive an apology. All freshly prepared and very good. Puddings certainly worth experiencing....More

Visited here on a Friday evening for a birthday celebration. One of the best pubs around with regards to the standard and presentation of food. It is over priced for a pub but you pay for quality and it's well worth it. You can tell...More

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at this very friendly pub. Service was good and the food was excellent. It wasn't cheap as a roast was just short of £15 but they do child portions of the roast too.

The Fur and Feathers is a really lovely country pub, just outside of Basingstoke serving exceptional food and premium spirits. There is also the very nice added touch, that with every coffee you order, the landlady accompanies with a little treat such as a mini...More

We are in the 21st century, times are moving on and there's a big requirement for vegetarian dishes these days - many restaurants are finally picking up on this. That doesn't mean a baked camembert which as nice as it is, makes choosing a main...More

Five of us had an excellent lunch time experience here. There was no rush to move us on which made it very relaxing. The food and service was excellent. My only criticism would be the noisy chairs on a wooden floor - but there's a...More

Description
Award winning independent family owned free house. Daily changing menu cooked with local ingredients when available. We are able to source world award winning cheese, lamb, eggs and game when in season from our village. We have four real ale pumps and sell at least two local ales. We have a large wine list, many served by the glass and an extensive Gin & Whisky offering. The building is Victorian with huge windows and high ceilings and heated by two log burners throughout winter, for the summer we have a large garden with patio area seating .
