Fun cross between a New Orleans vibe In the outdoor area and a dark tavern inside. Fried catfish, pulled pork, and shrimp poboys were very good. I would not recommend the ham and cheese P.O. boy. We stopped in on a road trip and waited...for and hour and a half for our food on a Friday night at 5 pm. There seem to be a lot of people working there for the amount of customers, but still a very slow speed of service. I would recommend checking with the waiter on the wait time before ordering.
They were a bit passive aggressive about the mask laws.More
The restaurant was clean, though our waitress had her nose above her mask the entire time. It was also warm inside. The food was good, with the exception of the gumbo. We ordered an appetizer of seafood gumbo. It didn’t taste like gumbo, more like...watered down ettouffee. For our entrees we ordered, fried shrimp, seafood combo (shrimp & crawfish), boudin balls, & shrimp & corn chowder. Everything tasted very good. My favorite thing was the green beans.More
We love this restaurant and make a point to stop here when we are travelling. The decor is so welcoming and eclectic. The service is good and the food and dessert selections are endless! You just can't go wrong. On this particular visit I tried...the Fried Green Tomatoes with crab and shrimp. It's listed as an appetizer but it's a meal in and of itself. My husband had the filet and he said it was out of this world. We also got desserts and I must say, the Bread Pudding with rum sauce was the best bread pudding I have ever had!More
Have seen & passed this cool little gem so many times & had no idea what a cool place this is ..... we were there on a Friday afternoon and it was still kind of early so there was no waiting .... the restaurant is...so cool and decorated in kind of "old fashioned" the service was fantastic (Greg was our waiter) and the food was amazing!!!! Chargrilled oysters were perfect, Fried Green Tomatoes topped w/ grilled shrimp and a sauce ( this could be a meal) Crab platter was wonderful ... and the Bread Pudding was sinful ..... but Oh So Good! They are definitely worth the drive .... so treat yourself & try them!!More
We went to Not Ur Mama's for my birthday dinner. It was fabulous as always. I've never had anything I did not like.
It's been 4 years but we highly recommend this restaurant for wedding rehearsal dinners also.
We tried a number of things from the menu and everything was delish! The appetizers: chargrilled oysters, crab claws, spinache and artichoke dip w/chips, were as good if not better than the entrees! By the time our entrees arrived, we were already full and happy!!...We will be returning very soon.More
2nd time in today / previous was dinner & today was lunch.
The eggplant appetizer was drop the mic delicious...
The loaded potato with grilled shrimp -oh my word it was to die for !
Can’t wait to pass through here again!
Maybe a bit...more pricy than some things but you’ve never eaten this good...More
Stopped off here for lunch as we came back from New Orleans. Had passed it a few times and wanted to try it.
Food was good but found the steak a tad oily. Prices seemed high for the location. Service was good and staff very...friendly . Plenty of parking availableMore
