We were fishing and staying down the street. We were seated when we came in...took a while to get service as two tables of other fishermen, 10 per table, lined up to pay individually...the place was full, but we ordered and food was delivered in short order. We had a sampling of several entrees, all more than ample and very... More

We had a great shrimp stew lunch with some fried catfish. It was interesting that it had a boiled egg in the stew. The potato salad was also good. The to go meal was ready to pick up when we arrived and hot when we got it back to the camp.

Some of the best seafood I have ever had. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, good food. What more can you ask for?? And the prices won't shock you. Can't wait to go back.

We had lunch there after a full morning of fishing. It's a hole in the wall place with very good food that won't break the bank. The gumbo (they have three different types) is delicious. They also have some appetizers unique to the Creole taste but worth a try.

Voleo's is a local restaurant with personally you won't find in the city. Do not let the outside fool you, the food is fresh, local, and great. We had bronzed red fish and fried catfish that we brought in fro fishing that day with gumbo, and jambalaya. Our fishing guide, Captain Alden, recommended Voleo's to us and we would do... More

This place was a pleasant surprise. It did not look like much from the outside, but we went in anyway because of the local people recommendations. Wow, we were really surprised with the quality of the food. The chef is a classily trained chef who was once a chef in the city of New Orleans. They did have classic local... More

If you find yourself deep at the bottom of lower Lafitte. Sop in at Voleos. You will not be disappointed. From the Fresh Seafood Platter to the German dishes he prepares. Its all good.

Lots of locals here. Fresh, great tasting food that didn't break the bank. Rose was great with her suggestions. The sweet tea was worth the trip alone.
