Passing through Lafayette and stopped here for breakfast on recommendation of a local friend - really glad we did! Decor is 50's diner style, bright and clean, but quite noisy. It was really crowded (a good sign), so we thought service might take a long time - Wrong! Service was prompt, friendly and continuously attentive (by which I mean they... More

On the edge of the Oil Center, Hub City Diner's a good place to meet for cheap eats. Damn good coffee, hearty breakfast and service is old-fashioned and personal. Your coffee cup will never be empty. Lively chatter since it's frequented by locals.

Y'all..... Lawd! That breadpudding. So hypnotizing, it won't let you put your spoon down! Classic bread pudding has a rum sauce, this BP is made with a chardonnay sauce. Either way....DELISH!

We had a fun lunch there. The food is good and fast service. I will return when in Lafayette for business. Only drawback no shaded parking.

Went to Hub City Diner with daughter. Wanted something good, quick and doesn't break the bank. Ordered the Diner, which is two eggs, grits or hash browns, toast or biscuit and coffee. Atmosphere is a 50s 60s theme with booths, music from that era and art to spice it up. Usually filled with a steady crowd. You can sit at... More

I would come back every week if I could, but I'll be back next time I'm in town. I had the Ruthie's special omelette and really enjoyed the ranchero sauce. The staff was efficient and friendly.

The grilled chicken salad is awesome. In fact most of the food is great and the servers are so polite and nice. If there is an issue, they will for sure FIX it. Just a great place and breakfast is the best. Open from 0600 to 2200 everyday except Sunday and then they close at 1500. They also have specials... More

Great setting and fabulous service. Unfortunately the food lacked flavor. The fried mushrooms were large and difficult to enjoy as an appetizer. The soup was delicious, but cold and the fried fish (the daily special) was fishy tasting. All things considered, stick with shakes and curly fries. Stay and chat with a friend and soak up the ambiance.
