Went to the one in Broussard LA. After 20 minutes of not receiving service we got up and walked out!!! Never again

Been to two of their locations. Pretty good burger but nothing special about it. Had a beer that was flat and warm.
The food is okay, I don’t recommend the hamburger steak 🤢 The nachos are very good and be sure to have the frys NOT seasoned for kids. Who does that!!!
Have always enjoyed eating here but never again. After having to listen to someone sitting at the bar 35' away use every curse word in the English I politely asked the waitress to mention his language was loud and very inappropriate. Only when she said...something to the gentleman at the bar, I heard his reply to tell me to 'F' off. Seriously, there were other couples and families having a late lunch as well. Sad, they have great food and a terrific menu - but I'll never subject my spouse to this type of atmosphere again.More
This is the original location, much better than the other locations! Although they are known for burgers and hots, Fats Pats has quite a few good menu items. This of the best burgers around. The patty itself is seasoned well but the slightly sweet bun...is what makes the burger. Our order Appetizer - chips and queso (add chili) 7.5/10 Entrees Little boy burger - 8/10 Pounded pork tenderloin sandwich 7.5/10 Fries 6/10 Other menu items I would recommend Ultimate nachos Pork and bean sandwichMore
I have tried many burgers from many different parts of the country and this is one burger that I would highly recommend for taste and cost. The servers were very nice and the atmosphere was a little "Grown" so I probably wouldn't bring small kids...but would definitely get them a to go burger.More
They have the best fried catfish. I eat there during lent season. Lots of food for the price. Four pieces of fish plus fried.
arrived and there was only one other couple in the place, definitely a bad sign for 6:30 pm. Only one waitress was working. Placed our orders and waited, a few more people came in, and we continued to wait. While waiting I saw the cook...step out from the back to look around. He reminded me of a homeless guy, dirty and unkempt. When our food finally arrived it was COLD ! Mine was supposed to be pork loin, but it tasted like cardboard and was probably freezer burnt before it was heated. Definitely not fresh. First bite I thought it cant be that bad, second bite I spit out. Only one good thing about Fat Pats... I NEVER have to return!More
Very friendly and courteous staff, prompt service and beyond delicious burgers! Atmosphere is dive like, TV in each booth and all along the walls, table and booth seating. Definitely recommend if you are looking for an excellent burger!
I took my 2 year old son and we had a great time. Barely ate half of the "Little" Pat. Best waitress ever...so friendly. She even sat down and colored with him. We'll be back!
I love love hamburgers and the 7oz Lis Boy Burger is so so so so good. The staff is great and so accommodating and always like that .
Started going through drive thru when I absolutely had to because a few times when I went in to eat, I sat at the table 15-20 minutes before being acknowledged. Today, I ordered soup and salad and picked up at drive through. A lot of...the lettuce is brown and wilted. They also gave me ketchup. I have no idea why. No one I know puts ketchup on salad or soup. On a better note, the soup was really goodMore
Fat Pats is popular for their burgers but I prefer the hot dogs. The Slaw Dog is really good with the mix of Cole slaw and chili. It sounds odd but surprisingly it works. The burgers are ok. They are big so I recommend the...Little Boy burger unless you are starving or are a big eater, otherwise the smaller burger will be more than enough. The frilled chicken wrap was a little dry but it was edible. They have daily specials which helps because they are on the higher priced side.More
Where to start? I'm a consultant to federal contractors and I travel a lot. Was in Orlando Fl. Wednesday and flew into NOLA had a friend drive me to Lafayette where they live and my client is working. In Orlando I was involved in a...terrible motor vehicle accident. I had to have surgery on my right hand side a plate and screws put in and my thumb reattached, my left collarbone was also broken leaving basically my two arms worthless. I also had some abdominal injuries and hairline fracture to my pelvis. I had to go to the hospital today immediately getting into town due to being in a lot of pain. I was discharged from the hospital and I needed to go to the Walmart and was waiting for my friend to get off work to pick me up. I asked someone at Walmart if there was a local restaurant and bar that I could sit down at and wait for my ride. They immediately told me Fat Pats! I asked if it was walking distance because believe it or not I'm dragging a rollaway duffel and my briefcase! They said it's walking distance. Which not in my condition, not 100°+ weather and not dragging everything I was dragging it probably was. That said I walk through the door was immediately greeted by other patrons and the bartender and waitstaff who could see I was in some distress and a little worried about me. The bartender had family in the Washington DC area where I'm from so we had good convo. I had a cold Miller light and then I had another cold Miller light. I was outside smoking a cigarette waiting for my ride and finishing my beer. My ride showed up at the same time the bartender came outside. He asked if they wanted a drink and I replied I I'm beat we're just gonna hit the road and what do I owe you for the beers? He said "looks like you've had a bad go round of things of late. They're on me. Welcome to Southwest Louisiana". I'll never forget the Southern hospitality that was shown to me it wasn't even about being able to pay for the beers it was about the message he sent from his community to the people that may come here. Welcome to southwest Louisiana! If you are lucky enough to come this way you better hit Fat Pats. Tell the bartender the gimped up guy from DC sent you. Not saying you'll get free beers but you'll damn sure get an awesome place to grab a beer and a bite to eat. Well done to Fat Pats! See you guys soon!More
This is the second time I have told them that I wanted my burger cooked Medium NOT well done. Both times I was told "We only cook our burgers one way". Ok well is well done the way 100% of the people in Lafayette like...their burger? My burger was dry. Now I must say the food other than the disappointing burger cooking was awesome...the wraps awesome the sandwiches are awesome. All I ask is that you listen to what customers want (a Medium burger with juices - not dry and well done). This was on Jun 16th the Westmark location and I was told this a year ago. I waited a year to see if the policy changed and it has not. Please let me know when it does because love the place but not the one size fits all burger cooking.More
