First time in Lafayette we found this outstanding family managed local cuisine. We ordered Oyster Poboy and a Corn Beef Sandwich that were to die for. You can dine inside or order to go. If you are in the area give them a try you...will not regret it. Super LA hospitalityMore
We stopped here for lunch on our way from NOLA to Houston. I had tried a couple of poboys in New Orleans but these ones were the best. Super fresh, tasty and much more affordable. We tried a shrimp, roast beef and a ham. All...delicious !! Staff were really friendly and the store had a great atmosphere. Loved it.More
Excellent poor boys dressed on freshly made bread. Wide selection of bottled beer at a low price. Note to first time visitors— order on left side — then get in line to pay. If you start on the right and get in line…. You will...get to do it again after you go to the left and order. Great hard working staff that cranks out good food!More
the outside of this place looks like an old grocery shack. there is gravel parking across the street and you can park at the school on the weekends. don't go by outside appearance. you have to go here and have the biggest shrimp po boy...you have ever seen for a reasonable price. it is counter service and the place is clean. there is inside dining. the staff is very friendly. they also have the best gumbo I have ever tasted. it consists of rice with shredded bbq pork and sliced smoked sausage. the reuben was also fantastic. we were lucky to get here before the lunch rush and didn't have to wait on a table and was able to find parking.More
Went there for lunch several times. The food is really good and the staff very friendly. Had a great time. Prices were reasonable. No problems with parking, nice location. I would like to stop there again when I'm back in Lafayette.
can see why its rayed well. freindly staff good food even has a few decent beers. good value for money, an no need to eat dinner tonight
We ate here three nights in a row and I'm sure we'll be back tomorrow! My husband is in love with the Shrimp PoBoy sandwich and I'm obsessed with the fries! They're seriously the best I've ever had!
Enjoyed our meal, first time having a poor boy sandwich, very much like a hoagie but crisper and a bit more decadant
Glad I found this poboy sandwich place. Get the old tyme special. It was one of the best sandwiches I have very had. Great atmosphere at the place.
This is a great place for a quick lunch. They sell different Po Boy sandwiches. Either one or half foot long. I got the bigger one and it was good for 2 meals. We got the shrimp, oyster, meatball and sausage sandwiches. They were very...good and you only wait a few minutes for the food to be ready. The price is right for the amount of food that you get.More
Back in time, a quaint location with cool indoor vibe and nice external seating. Excellent shrimp poboy which I would certainly deviate from my route to eat.
First off, the parking is TERRIBLE! We got there at noon for lunch. It was busy. We had to park a block away, but that is ok. Everywhere near the place is pay parking! Everybody trying to make a buck off of a successful place!...I am not from the city so we are not use to such greed, and personally find it unacceptable. For someone that has never been in the place, it is very confusing. People everywhere and no one knows what is going on. The food was ok, but certainly not deserving of the rave ratings. I had the shrimp po boy. They put a lot of shrimp on the sandwich, but it has little flavor. It had one thin slice of mator and a little lettuce, with mayo and catchup. Nothing special at all. I have had as good or better 1000 miles off the coast. The food is certainly not worth the hassle involved with dinning at this place.More
Excellent po boys, loved the atmosphere, staff was friendly and fun. We understand why the locals love it. If you are looking for a genuine experience and to support the Mom & Pop joints - this is your stop. Definitely recommend.
This is one of those restaurants that deserves an extended scale when reviewing. It was perfect. This type of restaurant is why I use TA. Food was PERFECT!
