I have been to Prejeans several times. You never know about the gumbo. Ordered one time and it was to hot (seasoning hot) to eat. Whatever happened to good ole fashioned gumbo. If someone wants it hot, put the seasoning on the table. Most of their food is very good. The eggplant pirogue is delicious. Come to think of it,... More

Here's the deal - they always have a good band playing good cajun dance music. And the dance floor is well lit and smooth. So the dancing is great. They have a pretty good bar too. But if you're hungry you may want to try somewhere else. The food is made for tourists and not as spicy as it could... More

Took a solo trip to lafayette for technology training and noticed how packed the restaurant was each time I passed by. I decided to try it. Really pleased with the atmosphere. Restaurant had trees with Spanish Moss hanging down, which reminded me of home. Also restaurant had a three piece band playing Cajun music. I ordered the oyster platter. Was... More

First time at Prejean's. I heard so many great things about this restaurant. And they were right! Delicious food, live band playing cajun music. We had a great time. I had the alligator cheesecake and the blackened catfish etouffée. Nice staff.

I've been traveling down past this restaurant for several years. There are always a lot of vehichles in the parking lot, which normally indicates good food. So today I decided to make the stop. The place is nicely decorated with a colorful ambience....but I must say , every time I see a red/ white checkerboard table cloth, pizza comes to... More

Ate here with a large group of friends. The chicken and sausage gumbo was outstanding. The stuffed flounder was awful. Unfortunately it was recommended by the waitstaff so that makes me think the staff isn't very knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable.

Every time i am in Lafayette i visit Prejean`s. Always good quality and fresh food. You can have alligator if you like that, even alligator cheesecake. Had crabcakes on this visit. Big crabcakes with lots of taste. A little bit expensive, but the food is good.

To much salt in everything. The wife and I feel the food is just OK and is very pricey. Also, the wife feels like their food is not really reflective of Cajun food from the Lafayette area. The atmosphere is great. The service is excellent. Some nice Cajun bands play there.

If you happen to be passing by Prejeans on your way to or from Texas through Louisiana, you have to stop. Everything is good..food and service and reasonably priced. We've been many times and always left happy.

Went here for a late lunch on a recommendation from business colleagues. Glad we did.. gumbo was good, the fried green tomatoes were excellent as was the red beans and rice. My little one had fried shrimp and couldn't finish her meal. Definitely visiting again.
