The ambiance is that of a provincial French restaurant. Once seated, you're presented with the pate de maison and toasted french rounds, relax and enjoy, there's no hurry. My wife and I have dined there for over a dozen years and since John Besh purchased it, the quality has remained constant. Duck, veal, rabbit, seafood are all good. I've yet... More

After sharing my birthday cake with another table that was also celebrating a birthday we were asked if we wanted a tour of the kitchen? Well I'm a foodie, hell yeah! So during the tour a conversation arrises about their Chef John Besh's recipe "Raccoon Gumbo" and how I have recently missed him at Restaurant August the month before. Well... More

I live on an old farm and was intrigued by the farm to table concept portrayed on the website. On an adventure to nearby Global Wildlife center, the wife and I thought it was time to try this place. Other reviews state the service to be poor, I found the service was pleasant. The food however was just ok and... More

Love this quaint restaurant with the excellent food and service. We dine here several times a year and always return for a special occasion.

My friends and I chose La Provence to see if it could compete with some of the restaurants in New Orleans. We were not disappointed by our dining experience. The restaurant itself is quaint and charmingly decorated. Lian, our server, was wonderful and the meal was delicious. We order the Reveillon Dinner. The appetizer was “Veal Daube Glace,” which was... Met with another couple who had bee here before. We enjoyed the reveillon menu, which was fantastic. Pate appetizer, then 4 wonderful courses. Good wine, and wonderful cup of coffee to finish. Staff were great and the atmosphere like a cozy home. Will certainly return!

We visited this restaurant with a large group and La Provence couldn't have been more accommodating. We had two tables near the fireplace (unfortunately it has been warm recently, so no fire). We enjoyed the reveillon menu, which was fantastic. All in such a warm and cozy atmosphere; much like what I suspect a home in France me be like.... More

We had high expectations for this restaurant but it was very disappointing to say the least. The service was minimal. They were by no means friendly and gave minimal attention! I have celiac disease so needed to eat gluten free, they had an understanding and it went well with ordering, but what disappointed me was that they served tiny rice... More

Food was amazing. Loved the pate and even ordered some to go. Filet was great as were the lamb chops (not sure what makes it a $56 filet and $48 lamb but didn't mind the price as they were both truly delicious). Server was good but seemed a bit busy. At the end of our meal we ordered French press... More
