I have been to Italian Pie many times but usually I take out as its one of my neighborhood restaurants but this time I had a coupon and so we decided to dine in for the first time. The service was really good and the...food was excellent. The portions were big and the flavors were delicious. We started off with the breadsticks which were good and we ordered lunch portions which came with huge salads (the sun dried tomato dressing was YUMMY) and then came out the entrees. the calzone was really good, the pizza was also very good, and the lasagna came with cheese pizza - each were delicious and filling in their own right. a great neighborhood place to get new orleans style italian foodMore
This restaurant has been in existence for a long time. I have not visit them for a few years years. Still friendly and unassuming. Manager was attentive, later on the owner came out to say hello. Bread dough is hand-tossed, cook just right. Will go...back again.More

We stayed in Kenner to go see the tall ships, and using the restaurant.com app,this one one listed, and it's the one everyone agreed on, 2 adults, 2 teens. We were very well pleased. At first we was just going to do take out and...go back to the hotel, but the owner, said the app wasn't valid for take out, no problem. Everyone got calzones, every one each got a different one, my oh my, how good! great flavor, generous portion size, not one person in our party could finish theirs. There was only 2 other parties in their at the time we went, so it didn't take long at all to order and for our food to arrive. Before we decided, we did read the reviews, like only at the time one negative, something about this person had bought a sandwich earlier in the day and decided to consume it much later on, and had the nerve to complain,well duh! Sometimes ordering pizza in is the simple way to fed a family. Tired of paying $30+ for cold cardboard franchise pizza, I tried Italian Pie. Ordering online was simple, the pizza quality was much better than the franchise, quicker and was less expensive, although we...pick it up instead of having it delivered. I have eaten at many Italian Pie restaurants and been pleased but tonight the eggplant on my pizza was not cooked. It was cut into large pieces and tough. I had to take it off the pizza. When I called to let them know they...said that is how they cook it. I suggested they check next time they cook an eggplant pizza. Besides that, the Caesar dressing was very oily. Sorry, but I'll have to go to the other location next time, which is further from my house.More
Took a gamble and ate here for the Restaurant.com deal and was close to our hotel - glad we did - very good quality food. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Safe neighborhood on a busy road. Son did not like his kids meal pasta -...sauce wasn't really kid friendly but he liked the meatballs! No alcohol served here - more family style. However, gaming was allowed in a separate room which to me was odd?More
Went in for lunch and got the pasta and salad lunch special. The Caesar salad came with a dressing different than the traditional, but it was still good. The chicken Parmesan was a good portion and was good. My dining companion enjoyed her Italian salad...and the Italian sausage sandwich. The breadsticks were very good!!More
Had a large chicken salad. The salad was great and there was a lot of chicken and vegetables. It came with garlic bread the size of a small pizza. Very good and you won't leave hungry.
We stopped in for lunch, the smell alone was amazing. I chose the chicken parmesean from the daily pasta lunch specials (several options available pasta, calzone, sandwich, soup). Lunch menu is served from 11-4. Most selections come with salad (there are 3 salad types to...choose from green, Mediterranean, ceasar) and garlic bread. The Mediterranean salad had a sundried tomato olive oil dressing that was tasty. The chicken breast was tender and just a little crispy, the thin spaghetti was perfectly aldente. The sauce was absolutely home made, not too sweet, not too spicy, not too garlicy but each flavor in the perfect amount. Our server was Julie, she let us know the fountain drink machine was out of order, and asked if we were ok with bottle drinks or tea. She gave us good service without going over the top. The menu has a lot of options for pizza and also lots of options other than pizza. The service was very friendly and the pizza was out fairly quick. The prices were very reasonable.
The quality of the food here is so good and the price is even better! The service is fast. Order the mediterrean salad for a unique treat.
We were staying at the Comfort Inn in St. Rose and ordered delivery as there are no restaurants nearby. The desk clerk recommended Italian Pie and we're so glad we took his advice. We had the shrimp garlic pizza. The crust was thin and crisp,...the pizza was garlicky and cheesy, the shrimp -- well, they were slightly tough, but not inedible. It arrived within about 30 minutes and was still hot.More
My friend and I ordered from this place a couple of days ago, this was my first time ever eaten here. My friend has eaten at the Slidell location and says it was amazing so we must try it here in Kenner. It was horrible!...First of all I ordered a Calzone and a Caesar salad. I started with the Caesar salad and the dressing tasted sour! I know every restaurant has their own take on Caesar dressing and I have tasted plenty before, but this was sour!!! The box the Calzone was in was filled with grease and as I lifted the Calzone up it dripped a ton of grease. So as soon as I wiped it down and changed plates, I cut it in half to be able to hold it to eat it better. When I cut it open, there was a HAIR baked into it!!!! A FREAKIN HAIR!!!! After I was done throwing up I called the place back to talk to the manager, well the girl says that she couldn't find the manager and that she will take it off my debit card. I would never recommend this place to anyone!!! So very disgusted with the whole experience!More
