This is a great place to come for lunch with friends! It's a cozy little place. The tomato basil soup is a MUST! I enjoyed soup with a sandwich. The bread used for the sandwiches is incredible! The service is terrific! Very friendly! If you want dessert, there are homemade cakes and pies! I can't wait to go back for... More

This quaint little restaurant offers fresh, nutritious food that couldn’t be more delicious. Be sure to try the tomato basil soup with delicate crostini that’s topped with herbs and parmesan cheese. My turkey sandwich with cranberry jam was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his roast beef po-boy on French bread from Poupart’s... More

In a small town there is a fine restaurant that has only 6 or 8 tables, and the chef cooks in the same room. By the way, the chef was selected as the best in Louisiana for small town restaurangs. Dine early to assure a seat. The food is outstanding!

We had lunch twice at this wonderful place. Leaving the second time was like leaving family. By the end of our meal, we had become involved in the stories and laughter of the community of which this little restaurant is an integral part. The food we had was superb; it's not your stereotypical Louisiana or Cajun fare, but clearly in... More

We visited from Ohio on March 20, 2015, for lunch. This is a charming six-table restaurant run by a former New Orleans chef (her bona fides are displayed in newspaper articles on one of the walls) with the assistance of one server. In addition to an interesting printed menu, there were a couple of "specials" blackboarded on the front porch... More

As we were entering, My friend and I hesitated just outside the door to read the daily special menu, and the lady working in the kitchen shouted, "CLOSE THE DOOR, MAAM!". We found ourselves a table and sat down. Waited several minutes and nobody even looked at us, so we left for better accomodations. As we left, noone seemed to... More

Traveling back from antiquing in Opelousas. I always stop by the precious little cafe. Because I know there is wonderful comfort food at Creola Cafe. In a beautiful setting across from the labyrinth in the gorgeous landscape of a Jesuit convent draped in oak trees , azalea bushes and ages of miraculous history. The food is as polished as the... That's what I was when I visited Creola for lunch today. Part of that was because Carol was so busy, and her restaurant so crowded, that at first she told me to come back later. But we were standing on the wide front porch at the time, and she said, "Or you could sit out here if you want." I... More
